This sounds more like an obsessive dependency than faith. I would personally be very leery about becoming involved with anyone who is that dependent on God. This suggests that they have significant insecurities. If a woman told me this I would suggest that she seek a convent and become a nun rather than trying to enter into a relationship with a human. Anyone who is that dependent on a deity shouldn’t become involved with a human being on an intimate level.

Seriously, I don’t believe a supreme being would even want us to become totally dependent on it. Why even bother giving us free will if that’s the case?

Well I think that is where a big differenc lyes..... having a faith and being a better person for it, or having a faith that is a crutch or excuse to not live life.

but hey, whatever gets you threw the day...the weak would be weak with or without a god or religion..... they are called addicts..... drugs and alcohol are not the only addictions people have, religion can be one also.

I agree with you....I put him first in my life as well...I am no religious nutcase by any means. Just knowing and appreciating what he has given me...I am grateful

A friend told me that her mother's favorite saying is that her karma stepped on her dogma. Since that I believe that God is love I would like love to be a part of all my relationships.

I not only believe that God should be in every relationship.....I also think your soulmate will happen on God's terms not on your own. As God has known you since you were in your mother's womb....I also believe that he knows every aspect of your life from the time of birth to the time of death....which includes, marriage, children, all of it.

Just as with prayer, also to with marriage, and every aspect of ones life. I feel give it to God, because he already knows you and he will never forsake you....so give it to him.....and know that what is meant for your life it will be done.

This is the big difference abra.....Because I give my life to God, every aspect of it. Shows I am secure in Father God....and in no way makes me a wimp......Control freaks are the hardest to be able to do this...because they think they have to be in control. And again since for myself I have done this. I am happier, no financial worries, happy in marriage, happy in rearing children who also love God. And not because I crap it down their throat....it's their decision as it was mine.
