When people say, "Screw you and the horse you rode in on." Does that mean that they find you and your horse attractive?

well "Rainbow Trout"...Sigmund Freud would probably say that you and/or those people must be having dreams about having sex with you all mothers

I have to agree with "feralcatlady" on this one...Gods have no religion only their believers do and the religion is the laws set forth by that God ..so if you believe in God you have to believe in the bible or the Koran or whatever to do otherwise is to make your own commandments to follow and thus place yourself into the role of God

Change that to... "so if you believe in THAT GOD... " and it makes more sense.

But you by no means HAVE to believe in the Bible or the Koran in order to believe in God. Only to believe in THAT concept of God.

RE: otherwise...

"make your own commandments to follow..." sounds like a great idea to me.,

"thus make yourself into the role of God.."

Yes. That is the pantheist view. We are all God.

I make my own commandments.

Life after death is real.

or "imageogiagirl"...is it all an illusion

It’s not an illusion

God is real.

like Morpheus ask Neo in the movie "The Matrix" ...what is real?

He exists

God created us and he loves us all.

just like he loved Jesus and threw him to the wolves

Yes for the greater good of all mankind

He wants to save the world.

a God doesn't "wants" a God just "does"

Only if he wants robots and not what is real but forced

He wants us all to be happy and to love him as much as he loves us.

under the threat of burning in hell for an eternity if we don't

He offers the way to eternal life or not

Why would he create us and give us this awesome place if he didn’t?

..er..you do know that this is a cannibalistic planet of lifeforms that live by feasting on the death of other lifeforms

So it’s still a cool place usually

It wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense.

but it does make a whole lot of non-sense

Uh huh hmm

When Christ returns all will acknowledge him.

well when Jesus do return ..I hope he has atleast three forms of ID ...driver license birth certificate and a social security card

Ok sure ha ha. If you are alive you will just suddenly change into spirit form sort of like I did I guess… you’ll know it’s him pretty quickly.

There will be no doubt at that point by anyone.

well let's do a DNA test ...just to be sure

Ok sure ha. Won’t have to

Blessed are those who believe in the unseen God for one day he shall be seen by the entire world by both the good and bad.

well I already seen God of television or was that Charleston Heston

Yea me too it probably was Charlton Heston or George Burns maybe.

that would be true if you worship the flying spaghetti monster or dagon or the tooth fairy and referred to them by those names ...but once someone claim to believe in something they label as God, then God becomes an enity and the religion are the laws that enity has set forth ...that's why God and religion goes hand in hand ..to dismiss one is to dismiss both

that Jesus died for the greater good of mankind could also be used as the slogan for those on Death Row ....because when Jesus died on Death Row... what was the greater good

The greater good was so that we flesh humans can have eternal life instead of just ceasing to exist after we die.

I do realize that you have been told that many times until you have accepted it as truth. But what sense does it make, really?
None. Soul is either eternal or it is not. The torture and murder of a man has no effect on that unless it was some sort of bargain with a stronger and more powerful God than yours.

but "imageorgiagirl"..that's the same thing they tell suicide bombers ...so instead of Jesus doing it for the greater good of mankind you just gave a reason why Jesus was more likely suicidal

Actually I draw my conclusion on a lot more than just what I’ve been told. I sort of understand a little about pantheism through Abras posts and reading about it online. It has a lot of good points in a sense as well as others that I feel are just false.
I personally feel sure we all will exist in spirit after death temporarily until time for the creator to accept or deny us into eternity. I just don’t agree with the statement that the soul is either eternal or it’s not. The Creator has the power to destroy what he made.

Then the creator will allow a second death to those souls that prefer it that way as well as to Satan’s soul. I am assuming you know what the scriptures say or maybe not. Jesus started the life after death thing. Before him the punishment to mankind for sin or evil was simply to die at death. That is why I say Jesus sacrificed himself for the greater good of all mankind. Otherwise we would just cease to exist when we die and just be mortal.

You know… For God so loved the world he sent his only begotten son so that whosoever believeth in me shall not perish but shall have everlasting life. I know you’ve heard that one before. I honestly believe it to be the truth and that he allows us to choose what we prefer. My God is the only true God I believe too. And yes he is the Almighty and he is very much humanistic as well as spirit.

Actually some of your beliefs seem somewhat altruistic while other aspects of them seem ludicrous or misguided to me. It seems the feeling is mutual to some degree for sure. But I can respect that. We all have our own reasons for feeling or thinking as we do.

I t seems you believe in some true aspects of God such as he lives spiritually within us all and we are all connected through his living spirit kind of thing. I don’t think you view him as humanistic but more as a life-force type of being maybe. I did go to your website and checked it out.

It was quite interesting. I’d read somewhere else a little about the holographic universe theory too. I am not real sure what I think about it but it was interesting. Traditionally I guess when people think of Christianity some think of it as a myth or religion but I view it as simply the truth more so than anything else. It isn’t just because that is what some think I should do or that I want to feel holier than thou nor is it so that I can try and shove my beliefs down anyone’s throat.

If I get too carried away or get on your nerves too bad just tell me and I’ll try and refrain myself. Funches already thinks I’m somewhat delusional. He could be right…

Jesus was not suicidal because he knew that He was going to return to life. He needed to pass through the cross to fullfil the scriptures. However, the greatest miracle was His resurrection.
That point is the one ur brain is not able to understand, that is why u go around trying to mislead people with your questions.

huh laugh suicidal? Just be glad I wasn't Jesus. I probably would've weaseled out of it somehow for sure and then where would mankind be? laugh We would be screwed for sure. laugh Now Prince has an old song "I would die for you." I wonder what he would've done.

Is there anyone you would die for? Just curious.
