First off! There isn't enough camera motion to make you sick in the movie. Secondly, they left the plot the way they did because the idea of "what people don't know is scary as ****!" Hence, the city(manhattan) was left in a state of panic. Thus, creating mass hysteria and lack of communication. This Movie is sort of designed like Independence Day and War of The world's. You are just missing the point there of the intended reaction of the movie. Maybe, it is just to complex for you to understand the underlying overtones!

i haven't made a single comment as to the content of said movie. i get ill just from the trailer...the camera motion makes me sick to my stomach.

i love horror/action/suspense movies...but there are several that others consider a good film that i can't watch because of the motion...blair witch, for instance, literally made me hurl.

i could have, however, done without the patronizing attitude.

I got sick watching Blair Witch. The movie was horrible, but the whole mystery surrounding it was great, like the speicals on Sci-Fi, it seemed like it was a real ghost.

like dont get me wrong it was good and all but the camera sucks
its not your normal movie camera its through a cam corder as if it was a home video
like the dudes running it shows feet on the ground and it turns fast made it sooo dizzy... its good if only the camera was different

that's what made the movie realistic and exciting man. I love the filming style and the movie was freaking awesome. I think it's a movie that you will either love it or hate it.

btw, I was sitting almost the very front and I didn't get dizzy.

I thought it was going to be godzilla's baby or something. I'm definetly not seeing a giant octopus destroy some building. If I wanted that, I would watch the power puff girls or some other stupid cartoon like that.

it was a pretty bad movie. There was no ending.

Umm.. yes there was. The ending was perfect in every way imaginable. Not to spoil it, but the ending is dark and brutal.. It's very realistic.

The movie is amazing. You may get a slight headache from the shaky cam stuff... But other than that, its excellent and VERY MUCH worth seeing in the theatre.

And the monster was not lame at all. And Octopus? Where are you getting that? It didn't have tentacles or anything like that. It had a wicked tail, but.. yeah..

Here's a pretty accurate drawing of the creature:

It's not 100% right, but close enough.

The movie is really good. I think you need to see it for yourself and not listen to morons who bash it for stupid reasons like:

-The filming was awful
-the monster looked stupid! (first of all, it looked cool... secondly, the monster is not the point of the film)
-There was no ending! (there definitely was, moron)

All in all, it's a love story set in a chaotic 9/11 esque situation. It's about love, friendship and questions how you would react in a situation like this.

I'm sorry you feel that way, I rather enjoyed the "amature Footage" Feel the Camcorder gave. After all it's what the film was supposed to be, Punk kids filming a party with a camcorder when things went to hell, to pull that off with a Movie Camera would In MY opinion make it look bad.

Actually monster totally reminded me of a larger version of the beast that Obi-won Kanobi rode in Star War's two(minus the tail). It defintely doesn't look anything in the way of an octupus. All though it does have external membranes upon it's head. The Movie left it open that thing could of possibly came from the ocean or outer space. The guy filming the movie expounded upon this during his tutelage as camera jockey. Yes, the compaint's about the movie come from people who don't know much about cinematography and lack any kind of credibility! They lack incite into what the director was trying to achieve here! The Movie like he said will have a sequel and it ended leaving you wondering what happened to the people. The Story Line was great all throughout the movie. Actually, The kids were earlier to mid-twenties. Post-graduate worker's embarking on there lives and career's. They were from Manhattan! So, most likely upper middle-class and upper-upper class kid's. No Punk's. Thier neighborhood was posh in setting.
It was just a classic from begiining to end. No complaint's from me at all. I couldn't of seen the film being made any better than it was.
