Have you ever noticed how you can find these great people online that seem so AWESOME you just can't wait to meet them?
I am soo tired of finally talking to people and giving them my number or my personal email or whatever and you talk a few times but NOTHING EVER COMES OF IT.. People why are we on these sites why are we pretending we are trying to meet people.. I THINK its because I am one of the FEW people that actually are who they say and I am not married and pretending to be single like so many others on these sites.. WHY CAN"T PEOPLE JUST BE REAL AND HONEST AND GO FOR THE THINGS THEY WANT...

Because if you try to be honest in a forum, people end up fighting with you and ultimately admin's ban you for free speech...

I've been banned from sites for being honest and expressing my opinion, the truth is that people DON'T want to hear the truth anymore.

When I used to be on dating sites I totally thought the same thing. But I've also met over 75 people in person from online. So ya, a lot of people really are interested in doing, not just being.

I'm not on here now for a date. Or a guy. Have both. Just for the forums and all the friends from another place that came over here, and new ones I've made.

All I'm looking for is to meet new people...not find a boyfriend or a hubby. I think that some of these married guys pretending to be single is because they're bored with their lives so they let their alter egos out here.

the thing is...take this site for what it is. and remember...even in real life, people pretend to be something they're not. It's called insecurity...

Well see I don't want to necessarily date.. I want to meet people and hang out and see what grows from there.. but guys on here just seem sooo artificial to me like they all have hidden lives and stuff lol.

Well I can say I am on here actually looking for someone. I work a lot and I go to school, so I don't really have time to look for a girlfriend. Bars are usually dead ends because I don't have anything in common with anyone. So....Yeah that is why I am on here.

I am one who is on here also for a real true love relationship that will someday lead to marriage... there are some great people on here , they are not all looking for the same things though , and if someone does start to talk to you and then they quit , then it was not meant to be anyway and don't always think it is something you did or did not do , soemtimes you can talk to someone for a while and realize hey we have nothing in common , and some people just quit talking to you rather than to say something to hurt your feelings ,, I agree that nobody should lead anyone on here neither , people should always be honest up front , then it usually works out better ,,,, I haven't found the one for me yet but I beleive I will someday ... good luck to you and best wishes .. Hello I am the new guy around here, I already posted my greetings in the newbie forum. I am one of those types of people who is looking to meet new people and if I find the "one" whatever that means then fine I know I accomplished something. The truth is I have never been on an online dating website, before I was kind of skeptical about it, but I hear stories all the time about people finding the one true love that they had been searching for. That is why I am here, I am here to build a relationship, if one even exists, which I know it does. I believe there is always someone out there for someone. I do not know why husbands come on here and pretend to be single, to me honestly that is being immature. I believe in true love and am willing to find it.

Well, I'm on here cause I want to meet someone special. I find that a lot of the ladies I think I would be interested in talking to or meeting either have 50 mile filters or they are not who/what their profiles say they are. Like "a few extra pounds (weighs 450 lbs. and is 5'tall) but that doesn't seem that much different then other sites. Also when you have selections like smokes Y/N you might miss someone who has recently quit or is quiting but can't really say they don't smoke.

I started out here looking for someone, but that turned out not to be in the cards. I have a girlfriend now; I still wouldn't mind making some local friends, but I don't think that's ever going to happen either.

But I do enjoy interacting with the friends I've made on this site, even though they all live in other galaxies (or might as well)....!
