Thoughts:

"He makes me lie down in green pastures." This familiar verse resonates with feelings of peace and rest. I visualize a meadow with rambling hills in the background, sheep with their lambs, a bubbling brook, a bird singing, a sense of calm.

What is your green pasture?

What makes a green pasture a place where He makes us lie down and restores our souls? It certainly isn't always a place of beauty and serenity.

I believe that green pastures vary with the individual, the season of life, and the quiet place God has chosen for us to enjoy life.


Lord Jesus, You provide green pastures for Your children to rest in. Help us to open our eyes to places of rest. Reveal to our weary souls the things in life that bring the renewing of our spirit and joy. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

I am in need of prayer today

I have been thinking of you all morning JB, just in the matter of prayer.

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

I do not have pets, not fair to leave them alone whilst
I work , but a home full of plants and flowers. Makes
for a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.

I can understand that Brit......I am self employed so I can be around for all my critter......I am a lil sad but happy as I will be turning the cougar baby's and mom loose in the next few days. I get very attached but also know they are better off running free as God intended them.

My Lord I anoint you....I thank you for all that you do in my life. I humbly come before you Lord God and ask for protection for my brother JB.....I know Lord God when a door closes another one is open. Be stedfast for JB Lord, show him his new purpose and give him both wisdom and strength to get through this hard time. Let him know in his heart that your purpose for him ill be revealed in Your time Lord. In Your Precious Name, this I pray......Amen.....

Please all my brothers and sisters pray for my friend Ruth to find a job.....

I believe in prayer and positive life forces and thoughts. The same? I do not know.

But, who am I to decipher? If it works, then so be it.

I am teetering on posting something that is short of a miracle. I am in awe of.......something that happened yesterday? Prayers abounded near and far. Positive lights and energy were given.
an account has been proven to me and others.

I will wait til the right time summons me in.

I have not looked at many of the threads this week, my life is too busy at the moment, but your question of choice vs free will.

My first thoughts on that:

Choice being a selection that we make based on needs/wants/desires. It is a right, power or opportunity to make a choice from more than one alternative and usually consequences are involved. For a young person, do they do homework or watch tv - the child does not necessarily take on responsibility, the consequence being perhaps being grounded by unhappy parents.

Freewill - a free and independent voluntary decision. The person exercising that is taking on the responsibility of free will. It is something that is not determined by physical or divine forces. (For us, it is something that is freely given by a divine entity).
