Hey Debs, perhaps you should ask her? I have had a pretty good day, worked this morning so the day has just gone by so quickly. Will be visiting my friend (DG) this evening. He is doing okay, prayer helps a lot. Met up with a local guy this afternoon - a little pleasant conversation. Back home to catch up on some email - some guys know how to write well. |

John Bunyan - Puritan author John Bunyan (November 30, 1628 - August 31, 1688) John Bunyan had very little schooling. He followed his father in the tinker's trade, and he served in the parliamentary army from1644 to 1647. Bunyan married in 1649 and lived in Elstow until 1655, when his wife died. He then moved to Bedford, and married again in 1659. John Bunyan was received into the Baptist church in Bedford by immersion in 1653. "the Church of Christ hath not warrant to keep out of the communion the Christian that is discovered to be a visible saint of the word, the Christian that walketh according to his own light with God." While he agreed as a Baptist that water baptism was God's ordinance, he refused to make "an idol of it." “Pray often; for prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to God, and a scourge for Satan” |

Happy Ground hog day! “Half your grain and half your hay by Ground Hog Day”. We have come at least half way through the winter now. We should all have half our hey left in the barn.
The good Lord gives us time, how we use that time He seems to leave up to us. I feel like I have squandered a goodly portion of the time I have been blessed with. Today I spent most of the day working on a profile for another dating site. I worked hard to give the best possible answers and to be honest and truthful. When I was all done and had my profile completed, I felt like I had done a good day’s worth of writing. I went to search on that site and was told I needed to pay up if I wanted to use the site. Call me cheap, but I am not going to pay for a web site to meet people. It just rubs me the wrong way. That was how I came to find Just Say Hi in the first place. I did a profile on Yahoo, which back years ago used to be free, and was told I needed to pay up if I wanted to use it. The thrill of the match making thread seems to have died down some. All the people who I enjoyed hearing from and wrote to I guess have found others to converse with. My email box is empty, as I guess it should be. I have a rather large thing I am working on writing, I need to spend what little time I have working on that and not off chasing something that might not even exist. I ask for prayer that I might know the Lord’s will and be able to do His calling. I pray for wisdom to know what the Lord would have me do. |

Here is one of my favorite hymns from schooldays.
John Bunyan, Pilgrim’s Progress, 1684; modified by Percy Dearmer in The English Hymnal (London: Oxford University Press, 1906). Bunyan wrote these words during his 12-year prison sentence for refusing to conform to the official state church. He who would valiant be ’gainst all disaster, Let him in constancy follow the Master. There’s no discouragement shall make him once relent His first avowed intent to be a pilgrim. Who so beset him round with dismal stories Do but themselves confound—his strength the more is. No foes shall stay his might; though he with giants fight, He will make good his right to be a pilgrim. Since, Lord, Thou dost defend us with Thy Spirit, We know we at the end, shall life inherit. Then fancies flee away! I’ll fear not what men say, I’ll labor night and day to be a pilgrim. |

Hi everyone.....Hope everyone is doing great.....Another fab fab day at church today.
It was so interesting because Pastor Mike was talking about getting the word of the Lord to not just your family not just your work....but as far reaching as you can. He spoke briefly about the India trip. It got me to think of all the different people I am able to reach on the internet. It was a little overwhelming but such an awesome feeling to know that by example all the people you can reach all over the world just with a few keystrokes.... And to know that even that one person that I might help is so worth it all. And of course as all of you know that nothing we do is in our own glory but given all to Him......And then I was going through and playing on the How popular are you thread and again I was overwhelmed at the responses of the people because they confirmed that I am doing all I am doing in the name of the Father, and I am walking the walk in His glory. It just made me cry like a baby...... Thanks for the place I can lay my weary head and rest. Thank you to Britty, Tiff, JB, Winnie, and even our cutiful funch for the fellowship and friendships in this thread. I love you all a whole lot God Bless Debbie |

Matthew 5:4 Happy are those who mourn, God will comfort them.
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and He saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is good. He protects those who trust Him in times of trouble." Nahum 1:7 (CEV) "Whenever we are in need, we should go bravely before the throne of our merciful God. There we will be treated with kindness, and we will find help." Hebrews 4:16 (CEV) "I am completely discouraged...revive me by your Word." "Your Word has been my comfort." Psalm 119:25,52 (LB) "Our God is a God of comfort. He comforts us every time we have trouble so that we can comfort others when they have trouble. We comfort them with the same comfort that God gives us." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (GW) "I pray that God who gives hope, will bless you with happiness and peace because of your faith, and may the power of the Holy Spirit fill you with hope." Romans 15:13 (CEV) |

good evening all
It's been a while since I've last visited. Much love here. I see my bunyans walk well, Britty JB, my brother. do all that any may prosper. He meets our steps with purpose, and comforts our stillness with encouragement. Either way, He is with us. Deb, you like to cry. it's a feral thing Football today was like life....it didn't just reward the leader, but benefitted the victor there were no losers. The challenge was tremendous and once again proved that the last can finish first. There were tears on that field today, and I sensed some humility that overwhelmed. Sport has experiences all its own. Let's play out life and make things happen. "So speak ye, and so do, as they which shall be judged by the law of liberty' JAMES 3 : 12 "AND THIS i PRAY, THAT YOUR LOVE MAY ABOUND YET MORE AND MORE IN KNOWLEDGE AND IN ALL JUDGEMENT; THAT YE MAY APPROVE THINGS THAT ARE EXCELLENT : THAT YE MAY BE SINCERE AND WITHOUT OFFENCE TILL THE DAY OF CHRIST ; BEING FILLED WITH THE FRUITS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, WHICH ARE BY JESUS CHRIST, UNTO THE GLORY AND PRAISE OF GOD." Phillipians 1 : 9-11 . Du, du, macht mir im schmerzen. Du, du, macht mir im sinn. sinn is 'mind' in German. anybody know this song? |

Green grows the holly Green grows the holly. So does the ivy. Though winter's blasts blow never so high, Green grows the holly. As the holly grows green And never changes hue, So I am -- ever have been -- unto my lady true. As the holly grows green With ivy all alone, When flowers can not be seen And greenwood leaves be gone. Now unto my lady Promise to her I make: From all other, only to her, I me betake. Adieu, my own lady. Adieu, my special Who hath my heart truly, Be sure, and ever shall. (lyrics ascribed to King Henry VIII) |
