I'm 37 and I wouldn't lie about it. I wan't someone not too much older and not too much younger. To lie about my age would be self sabotaging. Why lie anyway. No way to start things off with new people.

Hello, folks:

I don't expect too many confessions in this thread, but I have to
ask.

I'm new to the online scene. I want to know if online woman lie about their age as they do on the bar scene.

My (oh so sincere) hope is that the online venues draw a different kind of crowd.

Anyone care to share their experience?

Thanks.

I never understood why women would do this in the first place? Unless they were just looking for a lay, in which sense she has no reason to lie. Anyway, think about it, you lie about your age, maybe something comes of it, am I the only one who thinks it's important to know my significant other's vital statistics? Like bday, fav colors, things to do, etc?

So no, I have not lied about my age, nor will I ever, it is pointless and deceiving and no way to start a relationship.

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Cindy, Happy Birthday to you. flowerforyou happy happy happy flowerforyou I am so sad that you are finally in your teens.

Lie about our age. The only ones that lie are insecure. I am 48 and proud of it. I don't even lie about my weight. What's the point.

To answer the original question though....

Yes.

Not just yes but HELL YES.

They lie about their age. They lie more often and by larger margin than you find in the bar scene. When you're talking to a 60 year old face to face it's hard for her (or him) to pass themselves off as 37. Online is easy.

I've learned in the online dating game that as a general rule women will lie about two things, men will lie about one thing.

Women lie about their age and their figure.

Men lie about everything.

People online lie about many things not just age..but then again so do people you meet face to face..it's just a risk you have to be willing to take if you wanna put yourself out there to find somebody.

What a collection of hotties! And I don't just mean the pics.

No wonder a ton of people hang out here just to gab.
