Ask their name???
Is it a blind date? Normally when you go on a date you know their name. You also know some background info from chatting before meeting. Personally I have nothing specific I'd ask. I am not into 20 questions, but in a nice conversation. If conversation is difficult it's not the right person for me. With the right one it just flows and you automatically get to a question here and there, but then it's a natural thing that is related to context of the convo. |

Maybe ask them what's their favorite book? That'll weed out a few real quick.

Ever since the bank phoned and asked me if I was buying a $2000= car in USA, I stopped using my real name and date of birth online... So I ask their name lol... I agree if conversation is difficult, then it's probably not the right person... Interests like music taste, movies, tv shows hobbies, favourite foods. what they do for fun. favourite color do they have children /animals Live alone Relationship status Close to family, how many siblings Like animals /kids if they don't have them Work Then find out common interests Core values, where they grew up Religion Political choices for Americans Last relationships Ask them their favourite childhood story And just talk. I have to admit that I also agree with Gia, sure, I would like to know everything about my date too, and would be open to answering my date's questions too... And I would expect the topics in the conversation to just jump from one topic to another spontaneously, at the whim of both people, about knowing each others thoughts on a specific aspects of their life.. Just generally using the time during the date to get to know more about each other and seeing if we "click", and if it's worth continuing to date, which can only happen if both you thought the date was positive... |

Maybe ask them what's their favorite book? That'll weed out a few real quick. The Gulag Archipelago Do I win? (Kidding, it's not my favorite book. It's just suuuuper long, and you'd have to be a very avid reader to get through it.) |
