Honestly, it sounds like you have a problem with the age difference. If you're as uncomfortable as you're making it seem, then don't go out with her.

Well, i'm down to try anything... at least once, so going out with an older person may not be so bad... so i guess i'll give it a try... we already have it set up for Thursday at noon... so woot! Wish me luck :) ...I think? lol.

Wish me luck :) ...I think? lol. What do you think you'll have in common with this woman? Does she have children... how old are they? I think it's great you're meeting her, but try to look at it as just friends. In a situation with this large an age difference it is close to impossible to remove the Teacher/Student dynamic. Unless you want Mrs. Robinson... but wait, aren't you too young to know what that means??? If things develop, just remember that in reality, there is not a future. So if you are looking for "Ms. Right Now" then she might be the person for you.
I know this sounds cynical, but wait until you go somewhere and a salesperson or wait-staff calls her your mother. It's uncomfortable. Good luck to you. |
