It's been like, 2 months or so, since he just up and stopped talking to me, and I'm still not over it. I don't know what my problem was. He was a jerk-face anyway >_< I brought my standards realy down low for him. Mainly because he was a baby-faced sweetheart. Who smoked pot and got drunk every night. I'm not that kind of girl, but I still loved him.

And now he won't talk to me anymore. My dad and I was discussing crappy guys, and douchebags that I'd meet in college, and I started talking about my ex, and I started crying in my dad's arms. It was awkward, but it helped.

Does anyone think I should be dating, or should I wait until I'm over him? I want to find someone that can make me forget, but is it even possible?

You are in such a hard place, and sometimes we can't tell our hearts who to stop loving. Matters of the heart are pure mystery at times.

I would try to get back out there and make yourself available. Have fun. Don't put your life on hold for something that won't happen and someone who isn't worth it.

IMHO

and good luck sweetie! flowerforyou

It may be hard to get over him, but you have to.

If he hasn't called you, he is not interested, so your wasting your time.

Sorry, better luck next time.

Happy New Year!

You should probably date someone better and forget him.

i would say that u should not close ur heart because of a jerk
however, u should always start with a strong friendship then move forward

I truly feel for you, been through the same thing. The best thing to do, in my opinion, is to keep moving forward. Take things slow, make new friends, and when you are ready to date, you will know. But don't look back. See it as his loss, not yours.

Your first problem was lowering your standards. Why do that to yourself? What kind of future could you possibly have with a person who likes to get high and drunk most of the time?

Well don't drop your standards again for any one or body.

Just be your self and some day you'll find that right guy.

You can do better.

Best of luck to you.

hMMMMMMMMMM here is a thought........why waste your time with someone who obviously only cares about himself and NOT you.....its a one sided love and he is off most likely with another girl and not thinking about you at all......on with his life while YOU pine away for someone who is too selfish to even break up with you properly.....TIME to get some self esteem and self respect and pick yourself off the floor....flowerforyou

Dating may be too soon. No one wants rebound relationships. But go out, a lot, with friends. Have fun. Then who knows what will happen.
