Topic: Extremely or exceptionally? Help please! | |
---|---|
I'm kinda stuck with two words...
If you're talking crystals and one is extremely high in vibration and the other is exceptionally high, which one would be higher? Even if I translate in my language I'm not sure... I'd say exceptionally high would be the highest, but would like to hear from you! |

Exceptionally means to a greater degree than normal. Extremely means to a great degree. I would also say exceptionally means higher than extremely.

If you're talking crystals and one is extremely high in vibration and the other is exceptionally high, which one would be higher?
To me, anything to the extreme is as high as possible where exceptional to me means higher than normal. Extreme - utmost, greatest, maximun adjective - furthest from the center or a given point; outermost. Exceptional - unusual, atypical, remarkable adjective - unusual; not typical, unusually good; outstanding When describing an object (crystals) saying its beauty is extreme compared to other crystals of the same class is to say it has qualities which cause it to be the most beautiful crystal ever. To say the object (crystal) has exceptional beauty than others in its class means it has qualities which makes it more beautiful than normal ones but not as much beauty as the most extreme ones. Usually, when comparing objects there is usually only one extreme but there can be multiple exceptional ones. If you pull out all the exceptional crystals from your collection and line them up, only one will be the most extreme of the exceptional. |

Extreme can have a negative meaning, that was my first thought.
Extreme heatwaves or politically extreme for example. |

If you're talking crystals and one is extremely high in vibration and the other is exceptionally high, which one would be higher?
Alleged healing power of crystals; no matter how high the vibration frequency is, sounds to me at its best as pure placebo effect. |
