In a earlier post I said I suspect joe Biden’s administration had a hand in this. In one of his pressers he said if Russia invaded Ukraine the pipeline would be taken out. When asked how he could do that because it was Germany’s pipeline, Biden said I promise you it will be taken out.

Did he say that before or after he walked around aimlessly looking for invisible friends to shake hands with?

I'd suspect, the environmental extremist
douchebags who want us all forced into
the new Dark Ages, and away from fossil fuels.

Yeah... Biden, and his puppet masters.

Russia ... as an act of retribution to the sanctions imposed on them.

And Germany never owned Nordstream, we are only leasing it, because only a small part is on our territory.

Not sure Putin would destroy one of his few sources of income with all the sanctions he’s dealing with now.

No doubt it was the Lizard aliens trying to start a nuclear war so they then can take over the planet.

Question is, does he really care about his country and his people? He would have enough money piled up for himself. And we don't really know, how much the decent people of Russia are suffering under his terror regime, since he cracks down any form of protest. But the voice of those, who opppose, gets stronger every day.

I do think, he would destroy pipelines as a form of blackmail.

Very possible, he is getting very desperate to justify his war on Ukraine to the world. Hopefully his days are numbered and his undoing will come from his own people.

It can only be done by some kind of Guerilla warfare, unfortunatelly. He showed his true colours already in 2014, when he occupied Crimea, and the West stood by, more the less. Now, the only way out seems to take him out

If it was in fact no accident, then Putin, as an implicit - by plausible deniability - warning signal that he could escalate into targetting civilian infrastructure in Western Europe. Why have you not ventured your own thoughts so far?

I am posting this because I don't quite understand why everyone is only targeting sovereign states and I'd like to collect opinions from here. Personally I think an underwater vehicle with mechanical armes is totally capable of doing the job and they are affordable to a lot of well funded organizations. So far only RockHammer mentioned the possibility of a NGO culprit. I was waiting for more opinions of the sort.

It was either Putin ... or a Republican terrorist group financed by and acting at the behest of Trump. Come to think of it, they are pretty well one and the same thing.

Factor this - while America has it's own problems with political insider trading, we at least get to know about it after the fact via public record.

For Putin and his oligarch's, not so much.

Back in 2020, Putin did something weird, for those who recall, he smothered the market in oil supply to get the price of oil down to $12/barrel. It was timed/optimized just after the Covid market crash.

Putin hinted that it was to hurt American refiners, but I say it was far more insidious.

I believe Putin & his oligarch's knew he was going to attack Ukraine back then, likely positioned extremely long option calls or derivatives on energy futures via third parties (like Deutsche bank), after intentionally crashing prices.

If you think futures and derivative traders are required to publicly disclose positions like the regular market, wrong - I refer to the "commodity futures modernization act" created in 1999 which exempts futures and derivatives from regular public disclosure requirements.

The CFTC couldn't even reveal these records to the Pentagon when they investigated the '08 crash and the strange surge in oil to $140+/barrel that triggered the rout back then.

Then, Putin, this year with oil already high, invades Ukraine and takes profits @ $120 oil.

I firmly believe Putin is behind the Nordstream sabotage, It's obvious that Nat gas prices will soar this winter and likely he's positioned long in futures ahead of it.

Everything Putin does is for personal gain, he owns the Russian media and can distort public consensus, referring to any news that challenges him as "fake news" and have them arrested/imprisoned.

We came uncomfortably close to a similar governance ourselves recently.

Putin knows he won't win a war against us with his army, nor even with his Nukes, but....he could win it financially, by crushing Western economies via the allowed secrecy of the futures market and his ability to invoke events that drastically effect commodity/energy prices with massive long or short positions strategically placed ahead of time.

We can continue to waste time insulting each other's politics, while ignoring what he's doing, or, we can wake the F--- up and see what's really happening.

I leave with this -

The last paragraph ... I am falling into silence. It just leaves the question, why do people agree to trade their freedom against being led by a single power. May it be a dictator, may it be God and his spokesperson on Earth. Are we all cowards?

Back to topic ... There was a chance to stop Putin decades ago. The West didn't, and his power gained momentum :persevere:
