Topic: Tropical Storm / Hurricane Ian | |
---|---|
Currently a tropical storm, Ian is expected to strengthen to a Cat 2 or 3 as it passes, or hits, the Florida Keys, and a Cat 3 by time it makes landfall somewhere on the West Coast of Florida.

I hope you, and the residents in the possible pathway, will be safe!
Hopefully it will lose strength as it gets closer to land! Take care River and please keep us updated |

I hope you, and the residents in the possible pathway, will be safe! Hopefully it will lose strength as it gets closer to land! Take care River and please keep us updated Thanks Dee The Keys are no longer in the cone, but will still get some of the outer effects of the storm. Unless it shifts again. As Rock said, it's expected to increase to Cat 4 now. Hopefully the cold front they are predicting will arrive in time to lessen the strength of Ian, before it makes landfall. At this point our Mingle family members, Rock and KitKat, are in more danger than I am. My thoughts and prayers go out to the both of them, as well as everyone else who is in Ian's direct path. |

River hope you are all sorted too . Is Mike coming to rescue you ?? Just teasing . Please stay safe xox Hahaha, fortunately I don't need rescuing and am quite capable of rescuing myself if need be. But, I'm sure if he were closer and time permitted, he'd insist on being here to help. My family and I are still going through the preparation process, regardless of Ian's predicted path. Mother Nature has a way of throwing in a curve ball, from time to time, that overrides any and all weather pattern predictions. |

I saw a projected path of Ian and looks like it will go right over us here in Pa but then it will just be a tropical depression with a lot of rain. Stay safe River! |

Thanks Poetry Ian has shifted East again, now expecting to make landfall in the Tampa Bay Area as a Cat 1 or 2 hurricane. |

Three generations of my family are here,
within a 50 mile radius of Tampa. We're all far enough inland to be safe from the storm surge. But... I don't know if i should panic. Or, shrug my shoulders, and hang 10. |

River, if you want/need a place to chill let me know. Thanks Stormy, you're awesome!!! My sister's home is pretty solid, built to withstand hurricanes. At most, the Keys are only expecting tropical storm weather and possible flooding. So I'm sure I'll be fine. |
