The deaf and HH... that's interesting! I always found it a bit difficult to communicate with them. Not that I have met many, but still. I found it difficult to read their facial expressions. They tend to be rather placid. One deaf person I met years ago was a regular customer in our art shop. At first I didn't know he was deaf and he spoke really loud, deafening, hihi. I was talking to him, no reaction, so I felt very awkward, alone in the shop with such a rude man. Then I found out he was deaf, hihi. Another was a student when I was a teacher. Nice girl, but again, difficult to read. Made me realise how much we (I?) rely on facial expression. I think it might have been how they were taught ASL and their environment? A lot of the deaf/HH community near me are animated. OT: Drinking a cup of hot matcha and watching the fog lift. |

Having a good but a bit of a turbulent day.
Handyman is here and then it's always a bit more hectic, asking things, answering things, getting him things, etc. And just now I had to rush to a DIY that was open on Sunday to get anti-wood rot stuff. That was finished and I didn't know. |

Mundane chores, watching a little football, impatiently waiting for the season premiere of Yellowstone later tonight.

I just finished 6 of the 24 sewing projects I'm working on. I'm making Christmas ornaments for my cousins on my dad's side of the family using buttons from my Nanny's button jar.

Chilling and watching a series. I had nothing on the agenda today but ended up being very busy nonetheless. Heavy work, back aching, so quite happy to sit and relax :)

Feeling perplexed, I switched to Espn2 to see if Sportcenter was on. It wasn't, professional tag was on. Remember tag, you played it at recess in elementary school? Apparently there are professional leagues for it.

Working. I took a sick day, so I'm home, but I've been working on school stuff for most of the day. It's such a busy time of year, and I feel like I can't get caught up. Four more weeks until winter break!
