It amazes me what makes the news...
But honestly can't blame Will Smith his wife was upfront about her health issues, and had even posted recently about her loosing her hair.. Just not the time or moment to dig at someone you have issues with.. Specially when they go after your family.. Now if the joke had been about Will Smith instead I would almost bet he would have had a come back which would have ruined Kid Rocks joke.. Ya know no matter that Kid Rock is a Comedian there is a time and place to show your talent and when being giving an Award, you don't take that moment to take a jab at another Comedian's family cause you wanted to get a rise out of him.. Only way I even knew about this was it was plastered on ever News Channel & it was the first thing I seen.. I did not watch it but ohh and behold let this make front page.. |

I don't believe everything I see on the news or hear for that matter !!
But the "slap"heard around the world , was the best publicity stunt pulled in a long time ... . Done to bring up the show's falling ratings and give a boost to the actors involved !! |

Chris Rock took the high road. He is a gentleman.

Clearly fake, he missed him by at least 2 feet.

Here is the first I heard of this so I looked it up.
And kudos to Will Smith. Shame he apologised later on. I don't like black stand-up comedy as it always goes too far for my taste. And if you're a presenter you simply do not go so far as to ridicule someone else's wife. So serves him right to get whacked. Shame Will Smith didn't hit him harder. Not sure if Chris Rock apologised himself for what he said about Jada. He was way out of line. There are things you make fun off, and things you do not address. This was one of the latter. If you lack the finesse to make the distinction you shouldn't even attempt to be a comedian. And then people allegedly were shocked by Will's action? I think I would've felt like applauding. But that's me. |

Chris Rock took the high road. He is a gentleman. A gentleman? A gentleman would not be so lame as to publicly ridicule another man's wife on stage. |

Clearly fake, he missed him by at least 2 feet. I agree with you, this was staged, rehearsed and well planned ahead of time. |

Two wrongs donβt make a right. They both took the low road in my opinion.

Two wrongs donβt make a right. They both took the low road in my opinion. Maybe so, but at least Will Smith had the good heart to apologise for his actions whereas Chris Rock did not. To be honest, I feel he should've publicly apologised to Jada right after the lame joke while still on stage. You have to be accountable for your actions and words. He crossed a line. You simply do not take the pi$$ out of someone's ailments. |

Proverbs 12:4
A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband, but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones. |

Was that the Oscars ? I thought it was a Jane Goodall documentary

Proverbs 12:4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband, but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones. You are aware that it wasn't Chris Rock's wife that shamed him but he himself, right? You are also aware that it's 2022 and men & women are equal? As such you may need a new contemporary book to quote from and toss the obsolete one in the bin. |

Two wrongs donβt make a right. They both took the low road in my opinion. That reminds me of a similar incident, we had in Germany last Saturday. Oliver Pocher, a famous comedian, attended a boxing event, when one of these "Influencers" gave him a whack. Not saying, Oliver Pocher is some innocent wee angel, but that other eejit probably did all this, to win more Insta followers Probably two unrelated incidents. But whacking another person in public, ie in front of a big media audience, is childish to me. Like kids, throwing toys out of the pram. I mean, there is other, more mature, ways to sort out these things. |
