Merry Christmas and please invite me to this dinner?
:point_up_2:
Lol!

Our menu this year:
Turkey with my Mum's best stuffing. It's award winning...
There's all the trimmings with the turkey that I avoid because room is required for dessert.
Bubbly, RosΓ© and ciders. A great deal of festive drinking happens because the weather is usually incredibly hot on Christmas and Boxing Day

This will be more of a Thanksgiving meal part 2 than of a Christmas dinner. Will be the standard turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, green beans, deviled eggs and warmed cider.

The most traditional thing to do here is gourmet. I think in English called raclette.

Small pieces of meat on top, in the little pans underneath you can put various combis of greens with cheese, in bit of wine if you wish etc.
That's with my mom and my kids :)

For 2nd Christmas I just bought a yummie with pepper sauce veal oven dish.
Not sure what I will have with it. Salad or green beans, and probably bistro baby potatoes.
That's me myself and I.

Drink... I don't really care about alcohol. Plus I gotta drive back home.

In my case .. it is probably more a question of what is not for Christmas dinnerbiggrin .. I have a large family and everyone contributes . I am making organic ambrosia cheesecake and a truckload of balsamic roasted organic veges . .. yum :yum:

Oi Oi that sounds scrumptious ;-)
Outdoor grill roasting or inside?

I don't want to make anyone sick but about 10 years
ago we unwrapped a nice spiral ham to cook for
Christmas..only..it was a solid piece of fat, top
to bottom, not a sign of any meat whatsover..most
upsetting when you are getting ready to cook..we
could not throw it out fast enough.

So, we were so turned off ham we could not eat
if for years, then had a go at it for Thanksgivng..
it was wonderful.

So I am thinking to repeat that at Christmas ;-)

The outdoor grill will definitely be working overtime over Christmas .?My parents have an expansive deck with beautiful indoor /outdoor flow .. overlooking the beach ... hopefully we will be outside .. even if it pours with rain bigsmile

Have you tried a balsamic ham
Glaze waving

My family has our big Family Christmas Dinner, where brothers & sisters and all of our family's all get together the week prior to Christmas this year we have chosen to do appetizers and desserts..

I raised my kids, that Christmas Day was spent with your little family and everyone else was prior. Or they could choose to drop by. So the kids could play with their gifts all day & make a p.j. day out of it and enjoy family time..

So we get together to exchange gifts normally Christmas eve but since they have so many stops it is just a short visit.

And since my family does the whole big Turkey/Ham ect for Thanksgiving and boy did we have a blow out this year..

I'm leaning towards a good steak, shrimp, baked potatoes & salad with humm cheese cake for Christmas Dinner~~~ never know may even ride if the weather permits....
