Like it has been pointed out many times.... no response is a response .... cut your losses and move on .... it's good for the soul !!
Welcome and good luck !!

You do have the 50 mile filter up. Maybe there is nobody within 50 miles.

Sometimes your better off not getting a response because I've had some responses I wish I never received.

Join a few more dating sites as well as being here in Mingle2, always try and say more than just 'Hi' in your messages, and don't wait for a reply before sending a message to someone else. Good luck in your search.

You may try working on your message filters. As of now, M/F isn't specified and an acceptable age bracket of 18-99 might not go down well with wot you are really lookin' for! (just suggesting). Apart from that, as @Slim gym and @Duttoneer said...

All the very best to you

When I see someone my age (60s) who is willing to date someone from the age of 18 upwards, I quickly move on. Each to their own I guess but that just gets me thinking why is he messaging me when he’s interested in younger ladies and also makes me think he’s too sex focussed.

OT - Yes, I have sent the first message several times.

Yep, this one. I find it creepy when an older man is willing to date 18yo women.

People are cowards. I'm used to it now.

Most guys won't. In some areas, there's like 8-10 guys for every woman. It helps to be an experienced liar. I won't, I don't want to explain away my lies. I have to be straight forword for my work. I'm also no salesman, my work sells me.

It's rare that I have ever been messaged first by a woman. In ten years of doing this, I can count on my fingers how many women ever messaged me first, I leave several dangling.

In this arena, grasp the idea that nice guys finish last. You might be tall, slim, and active. Have a good job, and be reliable. But if there's nothing outstanding about you, you're SOL.
