https://ktvz.com/money/cnn-business-consumer/2022/01/25/flying-car-cleared-for-takeoff-but-youll-need-a-pilots-license/ and remembered this thread the worlds first certified and approved for public private use flying car. The “AirCar” was awarded an official Certificate of Airworthiness by the Slovak Transport Authority after completing 70 hours of “rigorous flight testing,” according to Klein Vision, the company behind the “dual-mode car-aircraft vehicle.”
The test flights — which included more than 200 takeoffs and landings — were compatible with European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards, the company said in a press release on Monday. “The challenging flight tests included the full range of flight and performance maneuvers and demonstrated an astonishing static and dynamic stability in the aircraft mode,” the company said. so all you need is about 192,000 bucks and a pilots license and you can go buy your new air car and fly it home. pic address wont show sorry. |

The jetsons one looks phat, but I'd like to see the propellers on top, in case you have to bail out, and get chopped up by the props lol... |

flying cars could be nice but they can't be something everyone can use because flying is not like getting in a car when you are working in 3 dimensions. plus a personal drone is not like a flying car with tilt wings or jets like vtols or vertical take off

I Saw a Flying Car Just the Other Night,
While I was Fixing My MoonShine Still. It had just Come Out of the Mother Ship. |

If it flies there is no need for it to be a car. It can take off and land anywhere. Yes, it's just a helicopter! And if they can make self driving cars they certainly can make self flying crafts that know where and how to take off and land and not crash into anything. And $200,000 is not that outrageous of a price when you can easily spend $80k+ on a car or truck nowadays. It will take awhile for the demand and price to balance out and I certainly would not trust flying around in a $30k aircraft that was out of my control. They can't make self driving cars. AI has no sense of self, and no common sense. They will put driverless cars on the roads, and these will kill people. |
