Yes talking to strangers is good for me because it's feel amazing when talking to such person. Actually a new good topics get discuss with strangers and even we feel so much happy in that over all day. It's awesome to talk with strangers.

Yeah there's no harm in befriending a hitherto unknown person as long as you are not pushy! His/her private space and choices have to be respected too. And then there's a difference in cultural traditions that has to be kept in mind too...

Once I asked a foreigner that I met at a bus top where he was from. It isn't considered rude to ask such a question in my country (it is widely known as a way to initiate friendly chatter). It backfired immediately as if I asked something too private. You should consider this writing/speaking to strangers that are not from your country. Sometimes they have their own ways in such things.

It has never occurred to me that talking to strangers wasn't okay. Once each year, I take a trip to a city out of state, and strangers always seem willing to talk--many are even eager. Of course, topics have to stay within certain bounds: meeting someone at the bus stop means talking about the weather, or where one is from; meeting someone at mass means asking about the parish, etc. In fact, sometimes, strangers seem relieved when someone talks to them. It's almost like what they say about wild animals--they're more afraid to talk to you, than you are afraid to talk to them!
