Before I'm Dead (2021) d boutte c montomery jr sawyers 6.4 scifi mind
A 5.1 film at best, rather boring...

Freaks (2018) b dern e hirsch g park 5.5 mutant superpowers
Started out very confusing but it got waaaay better. I rate it a 7.4 and would like to see more films based on this. I will watch this many more times.

Horse Girl (2020) a brie m shannon 5.8 supernatural fantasy
Had difficulty staying interested in this film. Certainly not a 5.8 but was at least a 5.0. Decent acting....

Journey to Royal: A WWII Rescue Mission (2021) c johnson m tosca e holliman 6.8 war
Couldn't do it! At best a 3.0 film. Acting, dialog and sets were awful. I shut it off after 30 minutes, it wasn't getting any better.

Last and First Men (2020) t swinton 6.7 far future scifi
Wow! that was boring...and weird. Certainly not a 6.7, more of a 2.5, we shut it off after 10 minutes. Probably let it play 8 minutes longer than I should (I hadda poop).

Potter's Ground (2021) ~ bluray i stratton s crain t bush 5.0 western werewolf
IMDb rating pretty accurate, its watchable.

Sky Sharks (2020) t todd 3.8 nazi flying sharks fantasy
More like 2.8 but I can see how it might appeal to drunken teenagers or gore lovers who need no rationality in a very bloody movie. Think boobs, blood and Nazis. Oh, and flying sharks...

The Comeback Trail (2020) r deniro tl jones m freeman 5.6 comedy crime
Pretty much the standard movie fare typical of Hollywood. Great acting and a decent story. Predictable as all hell. The rating is accurate...its watchable, even corny funny sometimes.

The Woman in the Window (2021) g oldman a adams a mackie 5.8 stalker
I'll bump this up to a 6.0-6.3 rating. I rather liked the insanity angle and stalking pretense. The ending was a bit predictable but they saved it with some tense action. I'll watch it a few more times.

Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021) a jolie n hoult f little 6.2 assassin action
I'll bump this up to a 6.5 good story, good acting and great hitman action.
The pretense was a bit vague but the action sequences and survival story elements made up for it. I'll watch this one again too.

Tom Clancy's: Without Remorse (2021) mb jordan j turnersmith j bell 5.8 revenge action
I'm dropping this one down to a 5.3 rating. Too typical and wooden. Decent firefight sequences don't make up for dry acting. Its watchable and I'll probably watch it again, someday...

Aquarium of the Dead (2021) va fox e ceja 3.5 syfy
Stupid funny. I guess we were in the right mindset. A 3.0 at best but I have a syfy/asylum movie addiction. It was fun to make fun of this film.

Toothfairy 3 2021 on lookmovie in 1080p high def
Not worth the electrons needed to create the stream. Total waste of bandwidth.

Also watched a few concerts on youtube.

Last night:

Shall We Play (2020) j mcleod m creber 4.3 possession
Meh, pretty stupid. At best a 3.5 but I was side-tracked easily.

Share or Die (2021) l arcaro dj bowman m coombs 2.9 social media demon
I re-rated it a 2.9 but even that is too high. While watching this film I was more interested in how the ceiling fan was blowing the drapes.

Sound of Violence aka Conductor (2021) js brown l simmons j jagger 5.0 serl kllr
I re-rated it. The concept had potential but the film was a bad SAW knock-off.
Oh there were bloody and disgusting parts but nothing which hasn't been done better in more interesting films. If you like blood and gore and can sit thru the mundane in between parts, you ... might like it.

The Unholy (2021) jd morgan c brown w sadler 5.8 demon religious comedy
I re-rated it. I like Jeffery Dean Morgan and William Sadler as actors. The film had great production standards but the premise and execution were hilarious. Intended to be a scary demon film, I found it funny.

Scare Us (2021) t sandoval c lilt 6.5 horror anthology
I re-rated it higher. I found this anthology to be well-done. The ending sequence was a bit lame but the bulk of the stories were both well-written and well-executed. You don't find many REALLY good horror anthologies and this one is certainly worth seeing during upcoming Halloweens.

I also rewatched No Remorse. It didn't get any better or worse but I did notice a few things I missed on first view.

Watched a few last night...

Endangered Species (2021) r romijn p winchester i bassett 4.8 animal survival
I rerated it lower. Its another African survival flick which sports bad acting and impossible family attitudes. People making stupid decisions with unlikely outcomes. While it was good enough to watch, I was glad when it ended so I could get to the next film. If you like overly stereotypical films which belong on Syfy, you might like it.

Wrath of Man (2021) j statham h mccallany j hartnett 7.0 robbery heist/revenge
I rerated it from a 7.4 rating. Its a well made movie but oh, so common pretense. Gun play is too precise. A typical Jason Stathum flick.

Nobody (2021) b odenkirk c nielsen a serebryakov c lloyd 7.4 covert forces/revenge
This one I rerated higher. It starts off pretty boring. The stop motion sequences almost made me shut it off. As it played on, it became increasingly better and better. By the end, I wanted a sequel. Christopher Lloyd is amazingly fun to watch in such a visceral role. This film could have been titled "The Auditor". I laughed out loud a few times with the movie.

Army of the Dead (2021) d bautista e purnell a reguera 6.7 zombies
I rerated it, slightly higher. Its a zombie movie and I am sick of zombies. However, its a Zack Snyder film so I had to give it a chance. Turns out the flick gets way better than the beginning suggests. The zombie society is an interesting concept which was shown effectively. Its a gritty, bloody film so use some sense if small children could watch. The action gets intense. There will probably be a sequel.

Endangered Species (2021)
A family ending up doing all the wrong things while going on safari by themselves in Africa. They get in serious trouble and have to fight for their lives to make it out.

Parts of the movie were okay, and the message at the end -about poaching, the nr of animals killed each year- had me in tears.

If that was the reason for making this movie I'd say it's a bloody good one!

Apart from that, I'd like to see Philip Winchester do something decent again. I think after Strike Back he's only roles in hopeless series & movies and often played a loser while in Strike Back he was SO good and so masculine!

Tonight I viewed 10 movies but only one was worth seeing and boy was it a good one.

Slim gym, you would like it because its based on a true story.
Anyone who liked The Call of the Wild w/Harrison Ford would flat out love it.

Togo (2019) w dafoe j nicholson c heyerdahl 8.0 sled dog adventure
If this rating is anything, its too low. There is absolutely nothing at all wrong with this film. Being a 2019 film I'm surprised I'd never heard of it before. Willem Dafoe does an amazing job and whoever the dog was should get an oscar for its performance as well. You don't see this quality of film in current big budget productions. If you like family adventure hero animal movies, its a must watch. Instant favorite!

I watched a whole bunch of movies this week and only a few were even worth writing about.
Most were garbage.

Netflix offered up a few good ones.
Best of:
.....

Aniara (2018) e garbers b cruzeiro a kananian 6.0 space survival
The new streaming site I use has no Enlish subtitles. I think this film is in Dutch or Norweigen. Couldn't understand much at all but the visuals were wonderful.
.....

Well, Google says it's Swedish. Quite distinguishable from Dutch as it sounds very different. We Dutch don't speak knΓΆte brΓΆte knΓ€ckebrΓΆte, hihi.

BTW I did find it with English subs:

I'm gonna check it out myself now :)

Cruella (2021) e stone e thompson j fry 7.0 live action
I gotta rerate this to a 4.3 or less. Oh, its a well-made film as movies should be shot but there were way too many things wrong wqith the execution.
The one thing that really got under my skin was the choice of music they used did not fit. Also, I just couldn't help thinking there was no reason this movie should have been made.
101 Dalmations was a wonderful children's story. There's absolutely no reason we needed a back story on Cruella. Cruella was intended to be the bad guy in the original story.
Its like The Joker.
The Joker was the Batman bad guy.
Cruella and the Joker are not the intended target (focus) of the original stories.
The only reason why someone would make such films is to cash in on the fame of otherwise good stories.
I don't need to know about what made the Joker a bad guy.
I don't need the life story of Cruella.
Harley Quinn? Why do I need to know the Joker's girlfriend?
To me, its all shallow thinking and lack of creativity of the writers.
Its a money grab.
It insults the public and shows just how little the studios think of the people who pay them.
We make them rich and they give us garbage.
We want art and they want money and we just go along and give it to them.

As stand alone films, they could have been good.
When they used good stories as the foundation in a goal for making money, it shows. Cruella was shallow and unnecessary. Certainly not art.

BTW I did find it with English subs:
https://movies7.to/movie/aniara-928vx/vvkj3kv

Your link is dead (doesn't work).

Subtitles are not a problem.
My player has a subtitles database where I can get subtitles in any language for nearly any movie.
I also have sites in my bookmarks for different websites where you can download subtitles for free.

When I have a foreign language film, I usually watch it at least twice.
Once while concentrating on the subtitles to get the story then again just watching the film, ignoring the subs. Recently, with this new site I'm uising, there are no subs so I watch the film as intended and search out the subs later so I can gleen the story details.

I can't identify many languages when I hear them. I can usually identify Japanese & Korean because I watch a lot of subtitled J-Horror & K-Horror.
Some of the best horror I've seen have been from Japan and Korea.
I'm also getting familiar with Norwegian when I hear it. I can readily identify language from Russia. Russia has been putting out some interesting science fiction lately.

I can understand some Spanish, some French, some German and some Klingon and Vulcan. Vulcan is the easiest.
All in all tho, I prefer English dub over subtitles.
I watched Shin Godzilla with subtitles and didn't really care for the movie. Then I watched it with an English dub and I loved it. It made more sense to me. When an English dub is done well, it makes the movie better because its easy. Like most people, I watch movies to be entertained. I don't like working to watch a movie.

Link works fine for me :)
Maybe it's a regional thing, although it should still come up then I think. I sometimes have to use a US IP or I get the message "Sorry, not available in your area" blabla.

In any case, I only watched a part of it as I found it slow.

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.
We can’t connect to the server at https.

I retried using http without the s.
The connection has timed out
The server at www.http.com is taking too long to respond.

I tried searching for the 'movies7.to' website and there were no results.
Edit: Wait, found it, thanx!
http://movies7.to/
Looks like a great source!
I'm always on the 'look out' for new streaming sources.
The movie is not as important to me as finding another source to add to my list.
I have other sources which have the movies with subs but the new source I've been using features High Definition streams in 4k or higher resolution. In fact, every film available at that site is high def.
I've found very old movies, no longer available at most places in high quality streams. (I sent you the site in a PM)

I watched Das Boot (1981) j prochnow h gronemeyer k wennemann 8.3 ww2 submarine action/drama without subtitles in high def recently...fantastic! I'd already seen it with subs so I didn't really need them.
(I really need to buy one of those high def 'smart TVs)
