Ah, then the one who messages me every 3 to 6 months, then disappears in the middle of a conversation, would qualify as a ghost. He amuses me, so I haven't blocked him yet.

Gaslighting is when they make out you are going crazy and it is not their behaviour, so the problem is you, not them. A type of manipulation actually.
