Seriously, if you're really not sure, maybe you need to take a moment and decide if you would word your compliment the same way to your mother or sister.

They aren't mutually exclusive.
Lustful behavior can be a compliment.
Either one can be disguised as the other, positively or negatively.
And someone can perceive either one as the other based on their own bias/experience.
Depends on the people involved.

Lust is actually a desire for something which should not be desired -or desired in a certain context.

It is different than just appreciation of beauty or even sexual attraction.

Those are among things quite necessary for a perfectly wholesome romantic relationship to begin.

Lust is when you break some sort of "rule" in your thoughts or desire/desire to do something in some way inappropriate.
