There is Love at first sight, but you have to define Love the right way, not how it is commonly used (at least in some languages/societies) and you have to have discernment, then there definitely is - now you then just have to find out if it's mutual, that is the biggest part of it.

Is it really? For me, no. Looking at a person tells me nothing about WHO I am looking at. I can be strongly attracted by looking, and maybe have an instinct that I will eventually be in love with them, but I have to KNOW someone to be able to develop something as strong as truly loving them. |

I think it would need some defining of 'at first sight'.
I do think it's possible, but for me it wasn't like walking in the street, seeing someone and bang! It also doesn't happen very often, and I think to seek it is not so smart. It only happens with a deep soul connection and we can all have these, but you'd then have to be ready for that yourself. Meaning: your baggage cleared and plenty of personal growth etc etc. I have it happen with my last partner and it's truly the most amazing thing. Also not for the faint of heart as it's very confusing. You barely met and already have intensely deep feelings for one another, the sense of knowing each other inside and out, while you don't know each other at all yet. On another level you do, but not in this day to day life. So very confusing. It's like starting 2 years into a relationship and having to work your way back to the beginning to get to know each other. |
