I'm laughing now... At the morons around the globe, for hoarding toilet paper. It's a respiratory ailment. NOT diarrhea.. I've been puzzled as to why people are hoarding bog roll. Talked to my girl about it, she didn't know either, said it was bad in the US? But over here they had good bog roll on sale, the type I always buy, and I wanted to get some cos of the deal, nothing left! Today new stock came in, but shelf was already half empty again? Liquid handsoap too, but that's understandable. I forgot to get a new bottle for weeks (I also have normal soap). Yesterday I thought of it, barely any liquid soap left. I've begun stocking up on things too. Not cos I'm overly scared but because other people apparently are. OT on Corona... guidelines have changed as per today for the whole country. We already had them for one province, but now they go for everyone and everywhere cos it keeps spreading and too many with no traceable source. People are hoarding in case they have to self isolate and are not able to get to the shops. There is no toilet paper to be had in the UK either. My daughter phoned me an hour ago whilst shopping saying she couldn’t get toilet paper anywhere. She has 2 rolls left to do a family of 6. I know that's why they're hoarding in general but why the bog roll? I got myself 24 rolls today, my girl brought me some shopping, also got me 20 rols. So I'm okay for a while. 2 rolls for a family... Oh dear... Maybe try ordering delivery online from Tesco's or Asda. The online department may have stock still? It was on her order from Asda and they said they had to remove it from her basket as they had none in stock. Same with Tesco and Morrison’s. I’ll try and find some tomorrow for her Unbelievable... My girl works in an office that sells all kinds of office supplies to companies. They were out of hand disinfectant. Then got another chit load in. Sold out immediately... THey sold for a ridiculous amount of money in one day on these kind of supplies, including masks, even though they're not the ones that potentially could help, only FFP2. And the price of these has gone up too. Insanity! In any case, if all else fails, go for kitchen towel and paper hankies. Better than nothing. I've used that before. If her house isn't ancient the sewage should be able to handle it... I wondered the same thing about the buying of lots of loo rolls. The question was put to a Behavourial Psychologist on Channel 4 tv yesterday here in the UK. During a programme on the outbreak of Coronavirus. His answer was, that in times of stress people think of the essentials they would need and not want to be without, hence the purchase of more loo rolls. PS, Just heard that Tesco may have just got some in, but there's a queue. |

FYI, no toilet paper, soap or pasta to be found in my neck of the woods
Just spent over an hour traipsing through all the stores. Think everyone had the same idea as I’ve never seen the stores as busy so early in the morning EVER! |

I'm already stocked up but was going to make a early morning run to pick up extras. The traffic is insane for a early Saturday morning... thinking everyone is doing the same
So I'm skipping the traffic and crowds and staying home Electric company emailed me a letter outlining what they are doing to ensure power and they have suspended all disconnects for unpaid bills till things are back to normal. After I already paid mine |

Think everyone had the same idea as I’ve never seen the stores as busy so early in the morning EVER! It's hard to tell people, not to stockpile. According to my information, warehouses are full and supply chains are not in danger. But yeah, people are raiding the shops |

People are Fkng crazy!! News story yesterday about some guy who bought up 17,000+ hand sanitizers and was selling them online for high prices until he got kicked off the selling platforms. He deserves much worse than being stuck with all that stock he can't sell!!

If there is a major outbreak (and that's by no means likely) Star Anise is an excellent anti-viral treatment. Really Seamus where’s the source I have some at home put it in food? |

My elderly father lives with me part of the year. He likes to travel by car several thousands of miles away. I have to get ready for that.
