This one I finished about a week and a half ago: Rhiannon's Triumph Thank you :) And it's a matter of having paint, canvas and some brushes and having fun with it. Practise makes perfect, hihi. And these days it's quite easy as there are tons of tutorials to follow on YouTube. |

I finished this today, finally! I'm calling it "Safe Journey" or "Into the Light", not sure yet.
When I started it I immediately felt I wanted a doorway which I then painted. I had no idea why, just intuition. I had but a few minor tweaks to do to finish this work but then yesterday my cat Bailey came home very very ill. As I posted already I had no other choice than to let him make his transition. I'm still heartbroken, nevertheless decided to paint today to distract myself and to do something positive. Then, when I was finally done, I felt I wanted to paint my Bailey in the forest corner. But it would have to be minute to stay in perspective... So I thought, why not in that entrance? It's like I made it for that, even though I don't want to think some part of me knew what was to happen... Yet, I painted Bailey in there. And I'm very happy I did! So he's about to go "Into the Light" or I'm wishing him a "Safe Journey" (home). It feels good to have him in there so he's still part of my life even though he's not physically with me anymore. I may or may not paint something underneath that doorway. I'll have to see in proper daylight tomorrow how it looks. |

Thank you, Stormy! It feels really good that I put him in there, the first painting I finished after his passing. This one is going to be on the wall in the living room. Oddly enough I have an empty wall as I recently removed the painting that was hanging up there. And I had no clue what to put in its stead... Now I do. It all seems Spirit had this in the working without sending me the memo! |

It is beautiful painting and a heartfelt tribute to Bailey. Incredibly special. Thank you so much, Merry! It helped me deal with it all, and seeing him about to go into the Light is soothing. |

Here's "Keeper of the Treasure"! I'm so happy I did this
I didn't really feel like painting today, but I'd already done the basic background for this so I went for it. It was so much fun to paint! I rarely finish something (this far) in a day as I have a neck injury, but I couldn't stop myself (which I should've done, my neck hurts, haha). I recently watched all LotR and Hobbit movies and had Smaug still fresh in my mind So the Arkenstone had to be there too! It is entirely possible that I will add some background stuff in the distance, pillars or arches. I think that will give it more depth. But that's for another day! |
