Is it possible to have a relationship that reduces overall stress, or is it just another achievement for the purpose of other benefits not including less stress?

Yes, absolutely. A good, healthy relationship brings in more joy so it makes all aspects of life easier.
But thing is if you're not doing too well you likely cannot attract a partner with whom you can have that joyful happy life. It's the icing on the cake, not like "let's get the icing to make the cake good".

I believe it is possible and I've seen it in a couple relationships. I doubt that it is the norm as most people seem to have their individual agendas that cause some level of stress for their partner. When 2 people actually compliment each other in a shared lifestyle, you will be getting closer to that stress free goal.

This ^^°°^^

I have friends who can not be alone, they have to go from one relationship to another, for the sake of companionship or other reasons. I am not judging them but it is not healthy and it is like watching the same show over and over again. It does not end well.

My advice would be to guard your heart and soul for the right person. Be patient. :rose:

There are lots of good ideas that have been mentioned, and thoughts.

Certain types of exercise reduce stress, likewise for certain types of service and certain types of social relationships.

Stress eventually breaks me down, they experience stress eventually breaks me down, so relationships may or may not be for me. But if there was a such thing as a stress reducing relationship, then who would not want that?

 I actually did get a message from a yoga teacher, but I did not respond because I can’t imagine her ending up liking me. I did not want to waste her and my time explaining that. This is an example of the kind of stress I am talking about in relationships like dating.

You may be surprised at what women want. Genuine men without agendas are hard to find. Don't sell yourself short.
