How do you feel when the series you've been glued to for years?

I can get so caught up in a good series that it almost feels like a loss when it's over. I so dislike that feeling, but there's nothing I can do about it.

That depends on how the series ends. Often, the series' that I watch get cancelled before they have a chance to resolve themselves and this is quite frustrating. At other times, the story and writing deteriorates to the point where they become unwatchable or barely make it to the final episode. If none of the above happens, then when they do come to their end, then at least you get that sense of completion.

True. Too many series aren't renewed, which I really hate! Often they're good series.
And yes, if it's ended because they'd planned to you got a sense of completion. But I can still have that sense of loss. Sometimes it's as if you really know the characters.

That's very true. I have my favourite series on DVD's so, given enough time between viewings, I can always watch them again.

Hihi, I do a similar thing, except I have some on HD. Unfortunately I deleted a few due to lack of disk space, and of course wholeheartedly regret that now! One of them was the complete 24 series with Kiefer. Another was Flashpoint.
I now have a 2nd external HD, a 3TB one. Plenty of space to put things on :)

I don't watch much tv, Shame Game of thrones finished though. I was enjoying that.
I hear Amazon and sony have started filming for thier new series based on the wheel of time series by robert jorden. which could be pretty good.
Very good writer. hopefully by the end of the year.

I've recently gotten Netflix and such. And let me tell you it's the Devil! For someone to go from hardly any tv to days of sitting in front of it. Crying and screaming then laughing ugh it's so emotional. Then it ends and the tears start :sob:

I know how you feel Queens. It's a shock.
I haven't watched tv or movies for years.
I find myself chuckeling or sniveling at any old drivel.

Yep, me too. I go for years without watching anything because many times in my work I'm very isolated, then bam! There's just waaayy too many fruggin cookies! I get drawn into it, and then after awhile to my surprise I get picky, and it takes me too long to decide at times.laugh

I went into mourning when Breaking Bad ended. No show has ever affected
me like that one did. :(

I was, am, and always will be a Trekkie. I was lost when the original Star Trek series ended after 3 seasons. At least I can watch it over and over on Netflix.

I'm still kind of livid,
that Captain Simian & The Space Monkeys
is no longer on the air.

Network bastards rant

I thought there were more than just 3?
In any case, I can wholeheartedly recommend "the next generation". Very well continuation of the series that does the 1st proud for sure!
And the last 2, 3 movies. Chris Pine does such a great young Cpt Kirk you seriously forget it's not William Shatner.
Voyager was also great. All the other so called Star Trek they threw out is crap. These however are excellent!

Haha, that's quite the change. I never watch tv during the day, unless I'm very ill. But in the evening I do like it for sure! And yes, when a good serious ends it's horrible...

The digitally enhanced and cleaned version of the first three original startrek series is fantastic and makes them what they always should have been.
The Next Generation and Voyager were good too.
The best non-startrek "startrek" like series is Seth MacFarlane's "The Orville" an excellent blend of humour and serious storytelling. Each of the major characters has their mettle tested in the first series. The second series is even better.
