I notice that the Favorites have been removed so you can no longer add someone to your Favorites. Has this feature been removed or just not working or Something else, like it Blocked now to certain users?

I do not know. But I am posting to say I also can not find favorites. I see that on some searches the favorite/heart button is there to add someone, and it also shows who is on the list if they show on the search, but I also can not find the list. Strange.

So, it's not just me..

Favourites all gone from here as well - in the UK and using Windows 10 on a desktop.

Any admins around to read this and offer us an answer, please?

I question the logic of subtraction or deletion being the primary means of improvement..


Ads are plentiful, so posting a notification to the members should not be an implementation issue...

An explanation from admin would be both polite and helpful.

I noticed that it's gone too. Can we expect an explanation from admin for the reasoning behind this decision. Personally, I've never used it anyway but I do know that one or two women did add me to their favourites.

Agreed ,to some people it may have been a confidence boost to know they were a favourite of several people

At this time the "Favorites Link" has been removed. Not sure if they plan on reinstating it or not.. I'm waiting on a response from Admin from the IT guy..

Favorites link is one feature that many members did not like for most that put them as favorites either never talked to them or it just felt creepy to some...

So as of now that feature has been disabled.

Also the "CHATROOM'S" HAVE BEEN DISABLED this was done because of too many issues within the Chatroom's, due to no way to Mod them.. There was way too many issues with scammers, posting sexual stuff, and members arguing within the Chatroom's. That feature for now will not be reinstated at this time.. They may in the future but no guarantee.

Kristi...thanks for providing a "why" to the members questions...

Regarding the implementation, there are other ways to tackle the favorites issue rather than a sweeping "thou shall not" - such as increasing the mail options to include blocking anyone's profile from being included as a favorite...there is usually more than one way to skin a cat as the ole saying goes...but that requires a discussion because it seems ears were listening (or attuned) only to those with negative views of the favorite option...

I have seen mention that an "open the floor" for discussion on Mingle mods/updates/etc may happen at sometimes...Perhaps it is time for a real suggestion box and objective discussions where all views on a matter can be considered

Not sure where you heard there was going to be a open floor discussion on any features..

I have said in the past if they choose to they will but it is not something they have done in the last 5+ years.. They did a few times when the site first started but don't see them doing that any time soon.

At this time these two features have been taken away and I do not see them being reinstated any time soon if at all.. It is why the IM was shut down as well.. and never reinstated.

I don't see how on Earth, removing the Favorites section and button, could improve the quality or the functionality of this Site ....
And having "Who's Online" twice (in 2 different menus) seems like nothing else than a bug or discrepancy ! !
Instead of removing such a USEFUL functionality (Favorites), you should put some more effort to keep away all these tons of fakes profiles that bother normal users everyday !
I hereby ask whoever responsible to bring back Favorites, ASAP ! !

I was using Favorites to keep track of people I thought Might be interested in me. Add them To Favorites then Match with them, the send each one a Quick Introduction to myself... Now it's like Hide and Seek, you have to actually PM them First to put them on a List...
But if it dose not work out with someone, I can no longer go back to my Favorites and go to the Next in line... I have to Search again and Wade through all ( Hate to say it ) the Fakes Hoping I can find the person again that where on my List of Favorites...
If someone added me, Sweet, if they Didn't, so what... Every Dating site I have used has the Favorite or Liked Person list... Ones keeps the list and never goes away, others only keep the list active for 3 days and if the other person don't like you back they delete them from the list but if they do, it stays..
What I recommend it Flush the System of all Inactive Accounts OLDER that 1 month Old. I keep getting the Same people In Search and None have been seen in over a Month...
Having Double "Who's Online" makes No Sense.. (Love that show) but the Favorites is a Useful Tool! Please Bring it Back!

The discussion is about the ChatRooms and Favorite feature only!

The Chatrooms were taken down to due the issues with Scammers and members posting nudes as well as all the attacking.. This was a call from their Sponsor Google.. therefore it will not be reinstated at this time..

The site offers the Forums for all members to chat within. Due to having Mods in order to keep it clean for those that enjoying chatting. The Forums remain open for all to chat within.

Favorites was taking down due to it was a feature that the site felt was not needed..Unless they decide to add it back it will not be reinstated.

The other features are not up for discussion if they feel the need to change or flush out old profiles then they may farther down the line..

Due to we have a Report System we ask that all members use it to Report those they feel are scammers. Each report is looked at and determined by Admin if they have the proof to deem them as scammers they ban them at that time.. All reports are handled every single day..

I'm put off and really angry.

Not only this favourite function has been removed suddenly, but my previous message here where I expressed my surprise and displeasure was suppressed.

It is clear members have nothing to say on the way Mingle2 is managed, and they may not express their critique.

I wonder on which real elements you base your arguments to explain this decision. Out your fantasist feelings.

Though let admit that "many members did not like" the "favourite" function. And then ? What about the other (few?) ones like me who find this very useful and important ? They just are sh.. ?

But I just wonder when I read "it just felt creepy to some". This lets me voiceless. All the dating or social websites I saw have this kind of function.

I guess this message will be quickly "removed" too, like my first one on this topic. And like my next membership payment.
