but I will tell you straight up, don't argue with old white people. most of them drank the Kool-Aid loooong ago, especially the men. their brains simply don't accept new information. they were alive at a time when you could work a minimum wage job and still pay for university, a car, and your own place. try doing that now, especially in a city where gentrification quadrupled rent prices and drove out the natives.

Trump is still a better president,

before him.

the only way one can believe this is if you are someone who has little to no idea how to verify legitimate sources, and believes a mass coordinated disinformation campaign, yet has so much pride they refuse to believe they could have possibly been fooled by propaganda

probably the only good president we've ever had was Jimmy Carter, and he was just good, not great

unemployment being low means very little when wages are so low and healthcare isn't provided. congratulations, you've got a **** ton of people who can't pay rent. probably working two 39.5 hour jobs so that they can afford the bare minimum health insurance that one job won't provide 'cause their boss won't let 'em have 40 hours.

the stock market being high means absolutely nothing. do you even own capital? tell me about your factory. tell me about your restaurant. do you even own your house? are you still making car payments? why would you support capitalism in any form? pretty much the only socialist programs we have these days are corporate bailouts

First your analysis of a minimum wage job and the cost of living is very geographic. In some parts of the country what you say is true, in others, not. As for working a minimum wage job, if that is the peak of your job skills, that is totally your own choice. The last time I worked a minimum wage job was 50 years ago when I was still in school.

Today's market is not that of 50 years ago. Then, we had more than 100 million less people in the USA. Then, you could get decent jobs without college, and more of the market was trade competitive, than tech competitive, and the level of 'outsourcing' was nowhere near as high

No, the job market is not the same but your reliance on a college degree to be successful is not valid. There are many good jobs that can be had by either an apprenticeship program or a trade school education. Yes, most decent jobs need some level of post high school education but a college degree is not necessary and many people are not interested in that college degree. The biggest failures are those who did not complete high school or those who went to college but never completed that education. There are also all those useless degrees from the employment perspective, they fail to provide a decent standard of living despite the degree.

Applying to your news source:

Overall, we rate CNN left biased based on editorial positions that consistently favors the left, while straight news reporting falls left-center through bias by omission. We also rate them Mixed for factual reporting due to several failed fact checks by TV hosts. However, news reporting on the website tends to be be properly sourced with minimal failed fact checks

LEFT BIAS

These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward liberal causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage liberal causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy.

I think it is more a matter of educated listening. There is dire need for people to be educated in comprehension and determining facts and data from opinions. Decades ago, the culture changes made it so that 'just the facts' approach did not bring in the views and ratings that sensational news did, and we started seeing reporters and news shows add in more casual talk and opinions.

When you allow the human element in, or allow reporters to also comment and describe things, you invite bias regardless of the side. If our education kicked out more people with the logic to tell what is fact from what is opinion, 'bias' would not be an issue.

First can't believe the house & senate going on recess...

House member's go on recess as coronavirus spreads
Senate... all going on recess ...

believe they passed the bills for the large corporations ...

now can't be sure ... but they are all haggling over the $ the American needs for a few months to live and need for their family's bills and food... to stay at home ... I believe as the Americans go through this dangerous time they should to ... if they want the economy to come back ... strong... then their should be no seconds thoughts about giving to Americans ... remembered trickle up not down ... in the face of this pandemic...

they need to put in place money for all of these people ... now is not the ...
time to say oh we do not have this ... well your the ones saying we are the greatest country's in the world and they look at us ... and you want to call this a war ... put the $ out for these family's ... I saw yesterday a priest... I thought gave up his respirators so someone else might live and he passed away RIP... died for others not the economy ... and President might be right about a lot of suicides ... not many in these times have experienced this kind of health problems... where they don't want to live an put the burdens on their family as they lay in excruciating pain in quarantine ...possibly in their homes ... most knowing they are or might die ... seems a lot of goodness is going around that is America ... proud and strong ... can't thank these people enough ... good people  and help needs to come to them with all the necessary things that keep them safe... they go down... we all go down ...

I am going to say this once ... the presidents speech yesterday was a man of power... taking over and listing to his own people that know about this virus ... I never saw him like that ... the way he spoke was soft but strong ... as if he was talking to everyone in America ... no matter the race ...

I thought it is awesome we hear there are making the necessary things for this virus for people ... hoping he will send to the highest city's that have been hit bad ... even California and other city's ... in need ... is is all spiking right now ... with a ? of who is going to get sick ... and all states hoping for those respirators an all the equipment that is needed ... that was a differnt man I saw as president ... and hope that he can stay like that ... their seemed to be compassion I have never seen since he took office ... smile2 so if we get the $ out to people and the house and senate do not hold that up ...that is considered a good start for people in humanitarian acts for states ... we will rise but they need help ... and the wrong thing to do is let them down now ... just my own thoughts ... no need to argue... and not going to change my mind ...

just heard making states bid on these items of need... and some state trying to get them from out of the country ...shaking my head now ...
what happened ? to the part where we did not have to go out side our country for supplies we can be are own makers ... well that shut that part up guess still the greed goes on ... and who likes who to get things faster ... grumble whoa

I think there was an informal agreement in the Senate late last night and the formal vote will be today. If it gets passed by unanimous consent, then it will move to the House immediately,if not, then it may take several days before it can move to the House. Then we will see what happens, I doubt it will go smoothly! With lots of luck it will get to the President's desk by the end of next week hopefully not needing to go back to the Senate first.

I said it is all about trickle up and still mean that ... they don't seem to get it yet ... I look at it like a queen bee ...she has workers and if she did not have those workers ...she would die ... so these large co getting bail outs again ...whats the deal if they don't have the workers ... they would go under anyway ... like those who never wanted their workers to have health care had to get it them selves ...well now their up **** creek with out a paddle ... to many metaphor for ya laugh here is another good one ... umber wants a bail out becouse his worker might need this ... B/S he made them all part time with know health Insurance under paid ... sounds a lot like other co. do to their employees... if this country was not made of greed we would still have certain things in place and not be so dependent on all the bail outs for large co. if they treated them like good employees ... with paying most of their health care like back when ... or hey new concept... free health care ... what is it ...rob peter to pay paul ... laugh and u bet those people held in cages on the border are in jeopardy...if this hits them ... and the jail I think u just put one of the kardashian out of biz... if u plan only letting some prisoners go free ...
like I said good people take care of this country and now they need to be taken care of ... know one should have to be paying more for anything to keep them healthy or ordering from out of the country for things now ... is that a state the GOP do not like ...rant I have a lot more to say but thats enough for now laugh and stop hurting the Asians just remember that diseases they say came from Spain ... it started in taxes not spain slaphead TCBS...

Some of us fail to grasp how stupid a significant number of the the US population is. We see this day in and day out, unfortunately it sometimes has some disastrous results. You might recall the couple who ingested aquarium cleaner as a means of preventing the virus; perhaps the Tide pod challenge? People just keep demonstrating their stupidity and then others expect the government to protect these people - what a waste of resources!! We now even have TV shows that celebrate that stupidity slaphead
