8C, frost on the roof of the extension hasn't gone yet as it's on the N side.
SO happy it's closed off from the living room so I don't have to sit in the cold from it anymore :)

Bright and sunny.
Difficult to imagine a few days from now that's gone and we'll be having a bad storm.

Thanks Crystal. It’s hard to imagine what’s to come because right now it’s sunny with blue skies. The storm is due in around 3 hrs and we’ve been warned to expect power cuts, damage and trees to come down. Oh joy! Nothing else to do but ride it out.

The only thing I’m worried about is my fence which was reinforced a year ago but I think it’ll withstand the wind. Fingers crossed. My fence is 6’ high and is about 30’ in length.....ideal for getting blown down lol.

Hope you fare well when it hits you flowerforyou

Thank you, hope it went well for you too! And fencing is always a worry, isn't it.
It is currently building up here. If it holds at this direction I might be lucky!

Extensive flooding, locally and in Rawtenstall/Haslingden. Many shops and businesses forced to close due to flooding from the River Irwell.

Yes, the storm will be present for days, but the worst should be today. Apparently we're going to have horrible rain later on too, which is when the wind will be at it's worst.
The way it's forecast now it won't be till Thursday that the weather goes back to normal.
I'll be happy when this day is over so at least we've had the real bad stuff.
I'm trying to not look at it, earlier on I saw my gates move like crazy. (some 4,5 meters total, they're normal fencing screens, 1.80m x 1.80m.)
Seeing that gets me worrying, so I got the radio on to drown out sound of the wind, keep myself busy, and just pray for the rest, hihi.

No reports of any injuries so far. The storm seems to have past now, leaving blue skies and sunshine behind it. My climbing jasmine needs a bit of attention though.

Glad to hear! The worst has yet to hit us, will likely be soon. But at least you've had the worst of it! Nice to have clear skies and sun! Enjoy it for me as well, please, hahaha.
