Compliments make everyone feel better and men use compliments to brighten up a womans day. But I find that when i am in a relationship I really love to be complimented. You might say that it is an ego thing, or a confidence thing, but even the smallest compliment from my girlfriend really makes me feel good. So to all the women out there compliment your man every once in a while, I know that I love it :)

I always compliment a guy. I still give my ex compliments as he does for me. Must be because I work in retail. It is always nice to brighten another persons day, because if you make them feel good you feel good too

I hate when people don't accept compliments or think your lying. If a girl thinks that i am lying about a compliment thats like telling me that your delusinal, because I am not as good looking/as smart/as nice as you think i am.

Compliments: Depends on the age and gender and your purpose for providing it. Some gals know you are just trying to get close the easy way. Compliments can be shallow. Try a creative funny compliment.

Was it to build confidence?
Was it to build a romantic relation?
Was it to just give a compliment/kudos for job well done?

What is the reason?

Hell I complemented myself today and then blushed about it. laugh It's all true though. Now I have a date with myself tonight as a result. Gee! I'm good!

For me any compliments make me feel good. I was talking about a romantic relationship, but complimenting me is an easy way to get my heart no matter what lol

I don't think compliments even have to be vocalized all the time. Doing small things to show appreciation works. During my last relationship, I found that just saying "you look really great in that shirt" or something like that worked.

Of course, his wife thought he looked good in it too, hence single-hood again.

No what it means is, that girl has heard what you are saying before from some asshole that treated her lke ****, and even though you shouldn't judge your new relationships on your old ones.... guess what we are human and it is a defense mechanism.

I didn't know until I saw them together at the grocery store pushing around their baby son.

Mind you, it wasn't a long term relationship and it wasn't that serious.

I just looked at my picture again, and didn't see the "homewrecker" tatoo on there.

You know how they always say, "Be Yourself"? After knowing you I'd say you should be someone else.
