Topic: I'm starting to like my age! | |
---|---|
I know, back when I was 20 or 25, just the thought of 40 seemed "old".
Just turned 42 and past that great mid-life crisis point and after a lot of thinking and healing since my divorce, I'm starting to appreciate my age a lot more! Still young enough to climb the mountains, go hiking and running through the woods and do most of the physical stuff I use to. Granted, my body hurts a bit more at times, but I'll take that in trade with all the things I have learned over the years and what wisdon (if you want to call it that) and appreciation for many more things that I never had really noticed before. Its been fun being here on JSH, only been here about a month now, but have posted with a lot of great people for the most part. And thats been a wonderful thing to me, so thanks to most all of you for that. Its also interesting looking at people's photos (I'm talking the real person..and most of the time you can easily tell) but I can usually get a small view of who they are by the pose, or smile, or not smile, a twinkle in the eyes, etc. I think I pick up on those things much more than I ever have in my life now..and that's kinda fun. I appreciate a woman's beauty in a much deeper sense now too. I love to see a woman with a great smile and a twinkle in her eye...that just warms my heart. And will sometimes go out of my way to let her know..just to say something like "great smile, I hope you never lose it!" and its meant with the greatest of respect. I guess that's what they mean by "maturity". So I like this age. A balance of youth and maturity. Kinda cool. |

And have the wisdom to draw the line on both |

Good for you! Hey, with age comes wisdom, right? LOL..no, age does not equal wisdom. making a lot of mistakes, learning from them and not making the same mistakes again equals wisdom..and going through a lot of crap. Hey, I have to say..anyone ever tell you that you in that pic (great pic by the way) look like Alanis Morisette?? |

40 is the new 20 they say....
It's a great feeling to own the 'you' and feel comfortable 100%. You can either wallow in self pity or you can enjoy every second of passing into this threshold with anticipation and excitement at what comes next.... |

I'm so glad to have learned that personality only goes so far as long as you look HOT!
-How attractive jealousy and possessiveness are. -How to keep a woman by being extra clingy. -Don't talk too much, just impress with your athletic prowess. -You don't need to listen if you look good in jeans. I'm so glad to have learned these lessons!!! Actually,,,,great post Sumthing! |
