Artgurl - you can feel worse after a massage if they do deep tissue, but after a few hours hours or by the next day you should feel a lot better. I personally don't like the deep tissue stuff. Try a warm bath or shower, might help. flowerforyou

Thank you Marie ... this is the 4th session to deal with back and neck spasms ... but it feels way worse today ... like more traumatized than the tissues already were ...

I'll try a warm shower... flowerforyou

Ummmm, not the pets Beach, the house. Don't expect the animals to live 30 years, and sure am not gonna pay the mortgage payment they want for them, sheeeesssshhhh.

And once I get the HOUSE refinanced, make a few repairs,
then it goes up for sale, YEEEHAAAW!!!!! Get rid of this
albatross that has been dragging me down for the last 5
years or so.

You have an albatross TOO!noway

You must be on here looking for either Dr. Doolittle or Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

i will get a serious massage once in a while. i don't mind if there is a little soreness if it gets all the kinks out it is GREAT!! really nothing like a good massage. must have strong hands for me though.

as far as giving goes. i give free samples very easily.
but the full treatment only when they beg.....which has been
known to occur on occasion...

i need to have my back scratched pretty much daily.

pet the kitty! good kitty!

I tipped the waiter anyway.

He didn't like the chef's surprise either.

I know how he must feel.

Sherrie - if she is leaving you in a lot of pain, then tell her about it, massage should be helping not making it worse. She may be bruising you if she is too rough. I have had massage therapists tell me to let them know if it hurts, because it shouldn't hurt. May need to find another therapist who is not so rough. I wouldn't go to someone who hurt me. I go to people who are gentle, not into the painful ones.

When my alarm went off this morning, I reached over to hit snooze and my hand slipped off the siderail of my bed. I then hit my head on the edge of my dresser.
Today was also my first day on a new job, it was a very long day at work.

I did tell her ... and even if I wouldn't have she couldn't miss my tensing, exaggerated breathing and scooching to get away from her laugh

She just told me to take a deep breath ... but it feels way worse tonight ohwell

I haven't had experience with massage therapy before so am not sure if this is normal ... but this doesn't feel right to me ...

...like one entire rib feels like it is on fire ...

Thank you for the feedback Marie flowerforyou

Sherrie - sounds like she is way too rough. I have been to massage therapists that were too rough and I didn't go back. One of the best ones I ever went to told me to tell her if it hurt because it wasn't supposed to and she was working on my neck and back because of headaches and arthritis in my neck. I am not a doctor, but personally I would look for another therapist. I go weekly to one at the hospital, she helps with my headaches immensely, and she doesn't hurt me, I really would look for one who isn't going to hurt you. Once you bruise the tissue, it can take a while to heal. Talk to your doctor, but I think you should shop around girl, find a gentle therapist. You don't need any more trauma to your neck and back. My 2 cents anyways.

Yes. Too rough. Each person has a different sensitivity.
A good therapist will adjust carefully to their victim before it is too late.

Hope you feel better soon!!
