Topic: questions that believers are afraid to answer | |

Does not make them unfaithful....or faithful for that matter. That is why churches split. There is an expectation that cannot be. churches split because of disagreement due to the religion ..but how can that be if they all have faith ..it actually shows doubt in the belief |

Like I said...en we humans are sooooo egotistical.... there will always be things we have not proven but still exist. We cannot seem to stand that fact or take some grace by faith. That is the problem with our culture today. then until it is proven it shouldn't be claimed as truth |

You cannot always rationalize any belief. Some times you have intuition en other things that meld into that are not always explainably rationalized to you. Faith is hmmmm hope. Hope is connected with the idea of good en evil. THAT is a concrete idea....there IS GOOD EN EVIL. faith like hope are self-induced illusions what is good and what is evil lies in the mind of the beholder..what may be good for one may be a horror for another |

That is to be respected. Everyone has the right. The problem comes with the philosophies are for not good. Hence the issue with the phrase... Peace en good will to all men... OR is it Peace to all men of good will. I think it's good intentions paved the road to hell |

it's hilarious that you're handling them in this way, since you were dismissed due to your muscles.
you must realize this is futile though. people of faith are thick headed and often inside a box |

it's hilarious that you're handling them in this way, since you were dismissed due to your muscles. you must realize this is futile though. people of faith are thick headed and often inside a box what's hilarious is how they avoid answering the original question Funches, You depend on unfair debating tactics to win. You define the question, you define the terms and you decide who wins. Is it any surprise that you always win? Is it any surprise that your defintions are so far from the real defintions as to not make any sense? The question has been answer, God has always existed. In OUR universe, everything must have a cause. That's not faith, that's science. If you have a problem with science, take it up with Steven Hawking. According to the Bible, God is not of this universe. God created this universe, therefore he must exist outside of our universe. How can something exist forever? I have no idea. But I answered your question, as have many others. Now, please tell me what proof that science has that the universe can exist? We know that the universe isn't going to cycle, so the universe will die a heat death. So science has no theory as to how the universe even exists, it can't possibly exist unless it's eternal. If the universe is eternal, then where did the matter come from? The laws of this universe requires that all energy has a source. What is the source? |

What is the source? sorry you didn't answer the question ..the question asks for a rational response but as usual you believe you can utter the word faith and it answers all questions...in the real world that doesn't happens ...so to be fair let's me prove to you what I just said is true ... you just said your response to the original question is that God always exist ...how would you know that God always existed unless you existed before God existed ..so explain how you know that God always existed |

Rational Consistent with or based on reason; logical If God created the universe, then God must exist outside of the universe. If God exists outside of the universe, then God is not bound by the laws of the Universe. God claims to have existed forever. I accept that claim as the truth. Completely reasonable and logical. You disagree with the conclusion. You reject the statement that God has existed forever, but that doesn't make it irrational. You can define the words for yourself all you want, but I will reject your personal defintions of the terms and use only the accepted defintions. |

you must realize that most people of faith aren't capable of answering your questions. they have no answers, they think in a little box. what is, just is. god is the reason for everything. escapism at it's best |

Funches and toastedoranges,
Rational means "Consistent with or based on reason; logical " There is nothing there about FACTS or PROOF. Therefore, what I said is rational. Everyone else here might allow you to define the terms, but you can't do that with me. Your threads are pure trolling. Why the mods don't lock the threads, I will never guess. You have no interest in debating the issues, you simply desire to make those who accept your silly definitions of the terms, look bad. |

it is the believers of the particular belief that claim that religious things as true and claim they need nothing but to utter the word faith and it becomes truth ...this is deceptive and/or or delusional Assuming that belief is deceptive or delusional, it is only deceptive or delusional to the person who holds the belief. Since you have no say whatsoever in what another believes, that's not your concern. do you mean like when it wasn't anyones concern when the church were torturing and murdering heretics Yes, exactly. They were fully justified in doing that. Heretics should be tortured and murdered. ..er...ok...right ...maybe you need to talk to chuck 366 he thinks he's Dr. Phil better than you thinking your dr. ruth |

You must like talking in circles |
