I guess The word is out That DH is shutting down and Mingle is now getting a big influx of new (and some old) users from that site.

The Good:
The good news is that it is always good to have fresh blood with new ideas, commentary and perspectives to share within the community. It also provides Mingle's owners more income to help maintain and upgrade the site along of course with extra money in the wallet.

The Bad:
The Bad news is of course that DH is shutting down. I have never visited nor been a member of the site but If it was anything like Mingle I know I would miss the people and community that I have been apart of for over ten years. So for those people who called DH home it is certainly bad news.

The Ugly:
The Ugly thing about all this is that along with all the great new people coming aboard we also have a big influx of new scammers. I have noticed a lot more activity within my profile concerning scammers and fakes. Like we didn't have enough of our own already.

In Closing, I wish the new real people from DH a warm welcome and look forward to future friendships, debates and maybe even dates.

You know, I've been around Mingle 2 a pretty good while. And I still don't know exactly what it is? The dating part of the site is pretty much worthless. All they have here are the forums. And I hardly ever see a new face here. So what exactly is it?

I've been on DH. And it was exactly that. After about a month I left. It wasn't my cup of tea. I'm very careful who's pond I sling my rod in.

Hello from an ex DH'er... I was a member on this here site before and I had 100's of scammer message me .. here. was one of the reasons I originally left..

I do think that scammers from DH most likely use this site already .. you may not get DH's scammers but you may get some new trolls ..

in DH it was easier to ward of scammers as anyone over the age of 90 and or in a relationship were lost in the search of members. I personally only ever had 2 or 3 scammers message me on DH

Yea it pretty much sucks having to leave “our home” after so many years, but thanks for the welcome. Not sure how long many of us will be around here, but in the meantime we look forward to meeting new ppl.

Well Wishes is not really for discussion, there are other forums
for that..this one is all about Well Wishes to people. However,
with this sudden influx of new people we are bending over backwards
to accommodate those who have not yet familiarized themselves
with the rules.

And it can take some time.
I remember I used to just post away at everything I saw, then
realized I was in Help, which is a no no.

So, we who came before you, welcome you and you have our best
wishes for a pleasurable collaboration :-)
