I just wanted a new area, but the primary goal this summer is the license issue.

The cattle ranch would be a lot of work, but looks really interesting and would be free room and board. I might apply there. They have a cook's position as well as guest services, and I can learn how to round up cattle. Plus free horse back riding, the other places only give a discount

I've been reading more about "The C Lazy U Ranch", holy cow this place is awesome. It's an all inclusive resort. They do cattle ranching too, lol. Beautiful setting and over 200 horses. Swimming outdoors, rafting....

Oh and they even have a spa

The restaurant I'd be working in is casual fine dining with gourmet food. Excellent experience and a chance to eat some decent food. Getting a little tired of cafeteria food. Although I'm totally healthy according to my free screening last night, so it hasn't been bad for me, just not very appetizing.

Yes it does. They have staff horse back riding adventures, staff trips to other places, an outdoor pool and hot tub, a fitness and yoga center. It's basically like the resort I worked for in the Keys with a few extras like hiking and horses.

They actually do have private rooms too, but most likely I will have a roommate or two. Guess it's time to work on interacting with others

Well, guess I made a decision. Just have to wait for the lady to call and make it happen. It's probably makes more sense to do this than the island position. It's longer and Granby is just a few miles away if I want to go into town for anything.

Cool, the lady from Alaska emailed me and thanked me for letting her know I wasn't taking the position. She said if things change or I just want to come for a visit to let her know.

The seasonal job I take has to have housing. Preferably with room and board included, or having to pay very little.

I'll still consider the one off the coast of Maine, if I hear from them, but will most likely work at the Ranch.

One of the ladies I work with here at the Y worked there and said it's really nice. It's just until the end of October, but will help open other doors for me.
