Oh, speaking of feathers, yesterday at the zoo there were two peacocks full spread with their feathers. Absolutely beautiful.

Male peacocks do the whole spread thing, so it couldn't have been a hussy

i wasn't referring to the peacock.

Dang peacocks, two females walk by the male and he starts strutting around like royalty to attract them.

Why can't it happen like that for me

Okay, I think you misunderstood me. When I said here I feel like I'm one of the guys, I didn't mean my physical workplace, I meant here in my thread.

Well I guess it's better than nothing, and it is the forums where we're all pretty much in separate states or countries, so it makes sense that we see each other more like a group of friends.

The part that frustrates me is that it seems to be that way in public too. Like with the peacocks, I see the guys stand up tall and strut their stuff with some of the women that walk by and with me it's more like "Hey", if they notice at all

But as you said, it's the vibe I'm most likely putting off. Guess I put up a shield around me to ward off any kind of possible future trauma or heartache.

Well here's to tossing that shield aside
