Cool, it's been warming up to around 40 during the day, but drops fast when the sun goes down and has been freezing in the morning. It was -5 the other morning and we had 25-30 mph winds.

Too cold for ya Stu? bigsmile

Now that the wind has died down, it's not too bad. There were high winds for over two days with near or below zero temps.

Only 7.

I have an interview today with a job in Alaska, Denali National Park area. Only I decided not to take it. Financially I'd not be better off than I am now, so makes no sense to go. My goal this summer is to make the extra it will take to get my license back.

There's a luxury dude ranch close by, they talked to me last night at the job fair. That is pretty much a go for six months. From the end of April until October. It serves the purpose of my goal with plenty more left over.

I really want one of the Island positions on Monhegan Island, but if I end up staying here, that's fine. There's a cattle ranch in Wyoming that seems pretty cool. It's basically farm work and guest services.

Yes, both places in Maine and the one here is minimal living costs, with a bonus at the end of the season.

The one in Maine includes housing, but only breakfast. Not sure what the food cost would be on a remote island. $10-12 an hour, tips and an end of season bonus.

The C Lazy U Ranch charges $125 a month for room and board, food and snacks are free. It's $10.20 an hour, no tips, but an end of season bonus of $1 an hour for every hour worked.

I'll have two weeks off before the Ranch job. And a month before the Island job, if I get it.
