as much as i like winter and snow stuff, i am enjoying the lack of damage to my wallet from heating expenses

All the warm ups we keep having is making a lot of ice when it cools back down. I slipped about four times going to dinner last night because the recent snow covered all the ice patches.

If I spend another winter where there's snow, I will definitely need better boots or those thingy's that go on the bottom of them to keep you from slipping.

Probably! I need a pair that are a little higher and tie at the top so the snow doesn't go inside my boot.

for that i have always been partial to the sorrels with the pull out linings and the drawstring at the top.
also known as snowmobile boots

Yes, those are the best kind. I couldn't find any when I went shopping. And I was limited for time, couldn't get them online, cuz I needed them right away.
