Topic: why do you think ur single??

I'm single (as in not married) as I prefer it that way. Seems the piece of paper changes things, and not for the better. Was married 25 yrs...so feel no need for marriage. Have a man, lots of great friends...am happy...why ruin it??

It wasn't my idea, but it turned out to be the best thing that has ever happened to me!!! (Funny...that's what the ex-f-i-l told his son on our wedding day...lol) I'm freenow to find someone who loves me for me

I'm single because I have yet to find someone worthy. That and what happened from last Sept. and Jan. did a lovely number on me so makes things harder.

Well, I've been in a situation where I don't have a job and times are rough. Basically until things get better, I can't go out to look for someone.

Because I got out of (what turned out to be) a physically and sexually abusive relationship and rather than turn inward, I turned outward. I got better, I surrounded myself with family and friends, I talked about it, I volunteered at a woman's shelter. I gave talks to groups at schools. I made the conscious decision to "re-enter" the dating scene when I felt like I was ready. One of the very first steps to that, was joining this site. So thanks for having me here! =)
