I kept myself from dating because I wasn't ready. I was only meeting the guys that want someone to take care of them (I take care of myself and my child so I prefer someone who can take care of themselves). I also didn't know how to approach it with a child (don't want to have lots of guys in and out of my kiddo's life).  that's a great idea  Speaking as a child who grew up with a single mom, and HAD a lot of guys in and out (most of which were pretty crappy), I applaud you.
Thanks man. I just didn't want my kiddo to go through what I did. Does it mean that I didn't have "fun"..no. Even that got complicated so I nixed the extracurricular activities. Now I'm ready to start dating. Besides, the kiddo is 8 and she's been worried about her mom being alone..lol. Kids are funny. I think it's sweet. Although it also sounds like the set up for a sitcom!  Now all you need to find is the studly stranger to move in next door.
hmmm there is an house for rent next door to me... How much is it a month? I might be able to work something out. |

why am i single?
in a word- luck, or a lack of it. i go on a date with someone, and they flake. i meet someone online, and it turns out they live half-way across the globe. OR they're a scammer trying to relieve me of my money. i try to take part in friendly conversation with a lady, and her psycho friend decides to call me every name in the book because SHE doesn't like the way i'm having said friendly conversation. It's like the great philosopher and blues musician Albert King once said, "if it wasn't for bad luck, i wouldn't have no luck at all". |
