yeppers 2 years after mom and dad built the house up north a developer stripped the property behind them for a development and cuz on the very back of their wooded property they suddenly had a mountain view they got whacked with the view tax. doubled their tax bill

That's ridiculous. There was a guest at the hotel that complained about being charged for an ocean view room. When I inquired more, found out it overlooked the parking lot but off to the corner, over top of the buildings, you could see a corner of the ocean.

No silly, that was down here where I worked. They ended up discounting the room for the guest since one of the employees helped cause a stink about it.
