we call that a gambrel makes more space in the loft for hay when is used on a barn. on the shed like that the floor for the loft could be any where from the bottom to the top of the first pitch on the roof

yeppers and we like having them around. they are wonderful skeeter control There's a place in the lower Keys called bat tower, there intention was to control skeeters, but the bats all flew away. Now it's just a tourist attraction.
