I imagine so. Down here tourism pretty much funded the Keys. With the hurricane damages, it put a real damper on that. Now the county is going around "accessing" everyone's property. I guess the plan is to classify each property as condemned, rebuildable, or in code violation. This means having to pay contractors to get the places up to code, building permits that benefit the county financially, and fines that they give for violators of following through.

Then once everyone gets their places up to code or rebuilds, they will increase property taxes. The government always finds a way to get extra money from you.
