A STRONG MAN CAN HANDLE A STRONG WOMAN. A WEAK MAN WILL SAY SHE HAS AN ATTITUDE

i agree with you totaly. thats the problem with most men today. they take the ladies submissiveness
and exploit it |

well i think a real man is someone that accepts a lady for who she is. is hard working and responsible. God fearing.
the kind that will help a lady achieve her dream and not destroy it instead. that's my definition. |

In my mind, the answer isn't about how a "Real Man" or a "Real Woman" is defined but how one defines a "REAL PERSON". Gender just adds chaos & confusion to the goal of finding & recognizing an authentic spirit.
I've got no time for idiot gender conditioning now;} |

a mature person does not ask for money or loan money to them gender has nothing to do with this. its coming from both genders to name call and insult because I will not send money. the rules clearly state no borrowing money on this board.

Good point Pisces, I've been thinking about this and here's another angle. For the past few decades and the rise of women's rights I think the real man thing has had a hammering, at least here. The rise of feminists and anti male rolls in life has seen it demonised. I'm all for equality as I've said before but as with other things ie gay and race issues it goes to far the wrong way. so do more women want a real man or an equal or even a lesser man, and the same vice versa? I see many profiles wanting "a real man or real woman " Have at it I say! If she wants to have the power trip then bring home the bacon honey and I'll take care of things at home. That's one reason I don't engage in power trips....I prefer to fry the bacon Yes! A BLT sounds amazing right about now. |

men are the hunters
women are the gatherers for me this is true.. a man brings the goods and I'll make something of them.. |

A real man to me is someone who grabs the wheel of his life , steers it where he wants it to go, demonstrates a level of care for his passengers and pedestrians , takes responsibility for "wrong" turns, and asks for assistance when necessary to get back on track. That analogy actually works for being a fully functional adult as well Im working on it :D Well stated Peggy! You are wisdom wrapped in wonderful. |

Real men give their women 5 seconds advance warning when they are about to fart.
couldn't of said it better! |

I have heard many ladies desire to find a "Real Man" but have never heard a clear and precise definition. I would like to hear the ladies definition of what constitutes a "Real Man"...virtues, attributes, personalities character, etc. I assume there will be different ideas and opinions. It would be interesting to hear the ladies "take" on the subject. Hard-working, self-supporting, stability, moral. |

for me a man is to know to keep his words and honor it...a man never hurt a lady..a man never afraid to show his weakness...a man is not just the outside looks macho thing..a man should know how to care and to keep her woman..knows how to listen

A real man... a man who has gone through enough personal growth to not have knee-jerk reactions from the ego anymore, or very few.
Meaning he is confident, respectful, doesn't feel the need to prove himself (ego) as he knows his worth. That means he can now simply enjoy competition, as he won't feel any less if he 'loses'. He's confident enough to talk about feelings, able to listen, can take criticism because he knows his own weaknesses, and fully embraces them as part of himself. All that makes him willing -and able- to commit, cos he knows another can add to his life. He's over the ego BS that a woman will take away from his life (mostly freedom for men). I think that pretty much sums it up. |

a man with integrity honor to his own words knows how to keep a promise..shows weakness..knows how to handle and keep her woman..not arrogant and selfish..knows how to accept his faults and listen

IMO a real man would be a guy who knows when its time to be strong and when its time to be weak...knows when to fight and when to retreat...knows that he should complement a woman's life and not be the one who completes...knows adam from eve I'd say you pretty much nailed it. A real man and vise versa real woman. Together they make a team. Out to enhance each other and grow together. |
