Facebook was okay for finding the occasional
piece of tail. Beyond that, it's pretty pointless. |

I have been on facebook for about 8 yrs. It seems to me that it used to be much more interesting in the beginning... then all the drama, intrusions and spam kind of got to me so I unfriended a lot of people, set up privacy settings and now I just keep it to goof around and stay in contact with friends and family.

Pretty sure that's the only reason I keep it... Just as fun to goof here though.. |

Who doesn't?
Pretty much everyone who had a My Space, migrated to Fascistbook. Ash it evolved, we each also evolved according to our needs. My hobbies and interests have pages of similar like minded deviants, uhmmm I mean aficionados. Then there ish also the news pages, that have loads less advertising as their home web pages. Although the comments are ash bad as any other place where people troll for fun because they have no real lives outside the interwebs. In my honest opinion, at least 40 percent of Fascistbook is now fake accounts, despite their claims they are cleaning out fake news and fake users. Mr Zorg has gotten careless over recent years, it was inevitable that other venues would open and become available to those whom wanted alternative places to lurk with their own kind. Although I doubt that the trolling will ever relent, as I like the NASA page, almost all the posters comments is doubters and trolls going fishing - there ish just too much fair game on that page, it ishn't funneh. |

Yep, and it's absolutely great :) I use it all throughout the day. Most people I know do.
Many make a living on it or via it, use it to network for their business daily, or give webinars on it and courses even in closed groups. I have done so too. Absolutely wonderful medium! |

I do

No, I don't.
Nor do I have any of the other "anti"-social website accounts. Just another bandwagon for the masses to jump on and create problems with. |

I freakin' hate Facebook. To be more precise, I hate the way it put idiot behavior right in my face when I was just fine being completely ignorant about how moronic and self-absorbed people can be. I don't care where you are right now. I don't care who you are with. I don't care where you had lunch nor what you had. But the best example of sheer stupidity? Someone who should be calling 911 instead turning to facebook and posting "just bitten by a snake. Does anyone know the best course of action at this point?" *Steve likes this S M H I detest Facebook for those reasons also I don't care that you are stuffing your yapper with raw fish (sushi), am I supposed to clap, be envious or what? Nah not going to happen could care less. But it really hits home when you say people post in on FB about calling 911.My niece died from a heart ,attack , my sister found her deceased at 10 am, she had posted at 5 am that she was in so much pain she could hardly breathe, if only she just went to my sister's room and woke her my sister's a retired nurse, if only if only..... |

The amount of (free) webinars I've done on FB, given by professional coaches or other types of business people, is astounding!
I've learnt a helluva lot, all via FB, and for free. If you have negative experiences on FB it means you are negative and as such have surrounded yourself with other negative people. I don't have many negative experiences myself, but I don't surround myself with such people either. And if someone does post a lot of chit stirring stuff I unfriend them or unfollow or something. It's no different from steering clear of the negative people in real life, and seeking out the positive ones. As a matter of fact, it is exactly the same. |

There are alternatives to facebook but you won't get that facebook feel.
Here's a question: If you started your own online blog, vlog or free forum, how many of your facebook friends would follow you there and join or support you? How many would throw you under the bus or just plain forget about you? There are alternatives to facebook but you won't get that facebook feel. Here's a question: If you started your own online blog, vlog or free forum, how many of your facebook friends would follow you there and join or support you? How many would throw you under the bus or just plain forget about you? A few years ago people were fed up with FB and there was another platform created that was more free of ads and whatnot. But you do get the problem indeed that many people won't follow. It's like trying to get a large group of people to go to another pub, a new one, while they're actually quite happy in the old one. The old one has everything, so what is the appeal of wanting to go to a new one with very few commodities? So a few went to this new platform (I cannot recall the name), but it was shortlived. And I feel like I said in my previous post: why move? THere is no reason. You just don't connect with people you don't like and you have no problem. Sure, you got ads, but you got those everywhere in day to day life too. Does that make you move to another town? Nope. Just now I was on a free week training from a professional coach. On Facebook. I loved it. And I love this being possible! I do btw also have a blog on Wordpress. But it's not nearly the same as FB. It'd be comparing apples and pears. |
