Merry Christmas, Arkies. More of a frosted Christmas rather than a white one here. Suppose to get up to 50, today according to the radio. And now you know the rest of the story. I think Paul Harvey's son is starting to sound a lot like his father.

Wow, I even think I hear Sandy Claws and eight tiny razorbacks. On Bacon, On Fatback, On Sausage, On Souse, On Porkchop, On Sowbelly, On Jowls, On Chitlin.

I usually listen to the radio going to work and back. Interesting thing I caught yesterday is that there is a shortage of Amateur Radio Operators in Arkansas now. In Mountain Home this next month at Baxter Hospital in Mountain Home they are going to be offering free classes with just the little fee of $14 for the license. The ARRL and MARS are behind the push to get emergency operators because of the effects of Katrina and other catastrophes. The American Radio Relay League and the Military Amateur Radio Service have helped much to keep 2 meters ( 144 MHZ to 148 MHZ ) going strong because of all the repeaters setups throughout Arkansas. I think the class will cover even up to the Extra Class.

yeah my cousin and his neighbor are both Amateur Radio operators in Eureka Springs.i've been visiting and listen to the different things people talk about on there.i don't think i could ever be an Amateur Radio operator because of having to learn all the signals and stuff.that's just way too many numbers for my brain to remember laugh

Nice windy day for hanging out clothes. The way the wind is blowing it shouldn't take along unless of course the wind take the clothes with it. I really need to get a kite. Happy New Years all.

A friend came by to make me a bid on redoing my bathroom tile. He told me that I could get the thicker rock tile that applies just like the thinner stuff. Found out there was a place in Mountain Home where I can get the tile wholesale. Glad I still have propane in the tank. Know the price will probably be going up soon because of the time of year. Got to get tags for the car soon and time to get more car insurance soon. Still windy out.
