Well Hello and Welcome to JSH and the Arkansas thread
Glad to have you aboard |

I have read the reason little pigs eat so much is because they want to make hogs out of themselves.

Took a load of clothes over to my mom's since her dryer still works. Mom had them all folded and put into the clothes basket for me. Found out that one of my brothers and his wife will be coming around noon the 25 to help celebrate Christmas at my mom's house. Left word at work that I am in the market to buy a truck. Planning on saving up to get one. It seems like cars in rural areas are about useless as teats on a bore hog. It seems like every time I turn around I am needing a truck to haul stuff. I love my big car because it is comfortable but it seems like all cars are good for is for driving or hauling passengers. Staying with the hog theme, lol. Souiiiieeee

yeah i think there's more trucks in this state than there are cars.you can get an extended cab cause you can fix about 6 people in one and still have the bed to haul stuff in. |

So true and what do you do if you are invited to a tailgate party and all you have is a car? It would make me feel naked. Got my eye on this big truck since I am a big guy. My little brother was telling me about his Nissan 4X4 that he isn't sure if he wants to sell or not. I would feel like I was wearing the truck instead of driving it. Not to mention trying to get out of it, again. Got my eye on this big truck. Maybe if I can get it I can be Boss Hog. What would be really nice is to have one with John Deere back tractor tires then if I get on one these little Arkansas two lane roads that back up because you can't see to get around them I could just drive over them.

that's a good question about driving a car to a tailgate party, never thought about it til now .i'm a small guy so i prefer like S-10's and trucks like that but i did have a '63 Chevy Stepside i was restoring.i ended up saling it back to the guy i bought it from for $100 because the front clip was hard to find (for me anyways)but i like older cars and trucks because they're easier to work on. |

Chevy S-10 is a nice truck. I had a 89 and it had enough room for me. I miss the old Chevy 59 long wheel base I had. I messed up on it though. I put the pressure plate in backwards when I was working on the clutch. Didn't even know it would go in backwards. Couldn't get the clutch adjusted out so I sold it. Guy that bought it knew exactly what I did wrong and got it at a good price. Friend came over to help me with the dryer and now I got the dryer in pieces all over the living room with a bout a hundred screws and bolts. Took the heating element and thermostat out to take to fix and wouldn't you know it they aren't open on Saturdays. I told him he might as well keep the parts in his truck so we can get replacements parts Monday when the repair shop opens up. Asked him if he wanted to sell his 70 long wheel base Chevy but he doesn't know if he wants to sell it yet.

my brother has a '87 S-10.we put a 327 in it,man that truck scared the crap out of everyone that drove it because if you were trying to pass someone, the 4 barrel and the passing gear would kick in at the same time and it would make the back end of the truck slide around but it also had alot of horsepower.he traded it straight across for a '70 4 door Chevelle .now he's wanting to sale the Chevelle .if i had the $5,000 or so that he
's asking for it,i'd buy it. |
