“Do We?”

Do we ever get what we want?
Or will we for ever just have them haunt.
Hanging out there in front of us and leave us wanting more.
Day after day never knowing what is in store.
As we sit back and hope.
And we try to hang on to the end of that dangling rope.
You can only hang on so long.
Before you will begin to wonder what is right or wrong.
Maybe I should just give up and let go.
Does anyone really know?
Or is life just one big guessing game?
And we must just sit back until we hear someone call our name.
Will we be able to hear them when they call?
Or have we built such a tall wall.
That we first we must end up on our knees.
And they must hear our pleas.
As we beg for another to be with us.
Then only will we be able to progress.
And find a place we will belong.
And then we will be able to move along.
Will it then be that all our dreams?
Will come true and there will be no more schemes.
To have to wonder about and life will be.
Just as we all see.
Skies will be blue.
Love will be true.
Everyone will be happy each day.
And this is how life will stay.

We all want it, it doesn't always come in our time frames for ourselves. We have to believe that the waiting makes the coming that much sweeter.

But..... we must always rememnber even tho this is the question of a lifetime we all want answered. In due time it will come. until then we must all learn to hang onto that rope. I know at times we will question it that is normal for us all. And shows that we still want that goal some day.

One should never give up on there dreams for when we quit dreaming we quit living!!!

No mattere how old or how young is those dreams will come true some day. I know at times these words upon the page don't sound as if we all have that hope. But I reasure you we all do or we would not put these words upon the page for all to read.

So even if it seems we have given up at times it only takes a few words from the ones that respond to make us look at the whole pic again and know we will never give up and don't expect any of those that read these poems to give up either.
