The going back 200 years is not relative to the thread though. Where as I do agree that illegal immigration is a problem faced by ALL modernized, techno nations what I do not agree with is the attitude of some as to the manner of solving the problem. Too often have I seen, even on these threads, that shooting them at the border (by non deputized members of the public) was even a good solution. My problem lies with the rapid manner in which some go after the the problem.
I posted about illegals entering Canada, brought across by Americans in some cases. Also about the killing in Germany of Migrant workers. But the same has happened in France, Italy and even Britain. That is the attitude that must be stopped. Not those who wish for a legal end to the problem.
I've said my spiel. Take it or leave it. I'm through with the subject seeing as all it seems to do is bring out the Nationalistic side of everyone.

If I remember correctly the balloon bombs were separate from Pearl Harbor. You first specified Pearl Harbor.

Unfortunately yes military targets are usually found near civilian areas. But the Americans had a good idea of the power of the A Bombs and still used them on a predominantly civilian target. There is no comparision between the three attacks.

sucked to be them

as well as the sunday school teachers and her students

fact is they bombed civilian targets first

and yes did say pearl first

wonder how many civilians died there

No where near the numbers of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Every year Hundreds of Japanese go to Pearl to pray for those who died there, including vets who took part in the attack. How many Americans go to Hiroshima and Nagasaki to pray for those who disappeared in those firestorms?

so it is ok if it is only a few

wrong is wrong

and 2 wrong do not make it right

but DO NOT condemn the u s for answering in turn

japan started the war japan bombed civilians first

but past is past

and who knows how many more would have been launched if not for the surrender at that time

I'm first generation Canadiandrinker
Both of my parents are from Finland and my father considered the US when he came to North America but for many reasons decided against it including the way people who weren't white and people who didn't speak English were treated in the 60's.

huh

Nope First and foremost I am a member of the human race... bag out Australia, I can pitch right in.

And I do see the challenges that the US is having with illegal immigration.

I do feel though, that the propaganda machine of deflecting away from the economical side of things in the US, and the causatives of the economic decline are wrongfully manufactured, and out to instil righteous indignation in one area, rather than the holistic dilemmas the people of the US are suffering.

You best watch that. There is a spelling cop nearby!!laugh laugh

Kid, my views and beliefs are not racist based! Trust me!

Jess, I was involved in this fight way before the war!
There is no relation between the two!

No matter what the spelling cop says,
The European immigration problem, and the far less humane treatment of them, by the population of Europe are know here!

Americans just tend not to nose into internal European affairs!

[sigh] Well first off, the word bigot is actually not deserving of a capital letter as its not a proper noun

The second line is ok, but then that's because it doesn't have a word with more than two syllables in it

3rd line ... discounting the lack of the letter "u" - I'm sure you mean colo(u)r-blind, not "colored" blind.
You will also find that you shouldn't start a sentence with the word "Or"

4th line ... Only one word and an utterance. Back to normal here then.

5th line Incorrect statement. I think you will find that the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand started WW1 and the invasion of China in 1935 along with the Polish invasion by the Germans actually started WW2

Not doing so well here, are we? Are you sure you are not wasting the money you are earning to get an education?
Seems to be a waste to me.

You kicked our asses out ... hmmm yes, ok, I'll give you that one.
But then I suppose your military has been killing friendlies for so long since then, it doesnt make any difference.

The most beautiful piece of redneck ignorance of them all -
"Why didnt yall?"
Im not even going to try and correct this, as its just horrid.

Congratulations, Glen, you have truly shown yourself to be an educated man.

When do you leave 8th grade?

Cool, I thought you meant casualties;

One that is harmed or eliminated as a result of an action or a circumstance: The corner grocery was a casualty of the expanding supermarkets.
